If you would like to meet her, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.If you`re looking for a well-settled, adaptable and mature companion (maybe around 7yrs old), come check out Zelda. She loves to play--especially a friendly game of tug of war, enjoys the outdoors and keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood squirrel population and will gladly consume any treat on offer! Zelda is an early riser so expect some company in bed if you`re not up and ready for a quiet walk and some breakfast. During the day, she will nap in her crate or her dog bed. She is very patient with other dogs, knows some commands and is a big snuggler. Zelda will readily give kisses, lay down for an extended belly rub session and is eager for you to wear your arm out petting her. Come see Zelda and bring a squeaky toy and a rope for a playful game of tugging!We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. MK here!As you can see, I am a handsome guy who is so excited at the thought of meeting you, I mean look at my smile.I am a young pup, around 1 1/2-years-old and am sweet, playful and enthusiastic about pretty much everything. I am hoping my forever home will have humans who love to play, maybe a fenced yard, and lots of ear scratches. I would rather not share my house & `stuff` with another dog full time but if you know any other dogs who can match my energy some playdates might be fun. I do sometimes forget I can`t try to play with a human the same way I might another dog so smaller humans, under 10, probably not the best fit for me. Unless I am sleeping, I definitely want to be part of the action and will follow you around the house.The nice people who have been spending some time with me say I am a smart boy. A little correction & some guidance and I catch on quickly. I do also love food, I mean doesn`t everybody, so if treats are involved in the learning process, I am all in. Walks on the leash are fun little adventures. Sometimes I don`t know my own strength but if I use a harness, I am pretty good.......though squirrels are so hard to ignore. In the house I am a good boy, if I do say myself. I will settle in that thing you call a crate, if needed. I remember most of the rules and know I am supposed to ask to go outside when nature calls.... though we do think I am a Husky mix, so I have a stubborn streak and sometimes I decide to `lift my leg` inside.If you are looking for a fun, 4-footed friend with a zest for life. Timber enjoys playing and running; he’d prefer to run and play with a human companion rather than another dog. He LOVES people and is good with most everyone. Timber’s estimated date of birth is July 4 2021. He’s about 60 lbs. of energy! An ideal home for Timber, and one in which he’d thrive and his family would forever enjoy his companionship is one experienced with the Husky (or a similar) breed, has the time to commit to a young large-breed energetic boy, and a willingness to set boundaries and guidelines to ensure Timber evolves into a perfect family member. Timber is a quick learner and is sure to make progress toward his behavior goals pretty quickly!
