Roo is a 1.5-year-old bundle of fluff, fun, who gives off “frat boy energy” with a heart of absolute gold! This happy, friendly boy truly lives life to the fullest and is guaranteed to keep his forever family smiling and laughing every single day!
It’s hard to believe Roo spent most of his life in the shelter, because in just two short weeks in his foster home, he has made INCREDIBLE progress! With consistent, gentle leadership, Roo has shown he’s not just a big goof—he’s a smart, eager-to-learn pup who is ready to keep growing into his best self. He would thrive with continued training and enrichment to keep his sharp mind engaged!
Roo has never met a stranger and absolutely LOVES everyone—people and dogs alike! He’s a true social butterfly and would be a fantastic fit for a dog-friendly neighborhood, doggie daycare, or a family that enjoys including their pup in social outings and activities. He plays wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and has a very submissive, easygoing nature!
At around 55 pounds, Roo is a big, lovable guy who sometimes forgets his size, especially when he’s excited. Because of this, he would do best with older kids who can handle his enthusiastic greetings. He’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground, but he’s eager to please and improving every day!
Roo is potty trained, crate trained, and rides great in the car. He’s also wonderful for baths, brushing, and nail trims—an all-around easy companion when it comes to handling and care! He’s currently learning leash manners and would benefit from continued guidance, but he’s already showing great progress!
At home, Roo is not an escape artist and does well within boundaries. Give him a fenced yard to zoom around in and a soft spot to crash afterward, and he’s one happy camper! He may give a little “announcement” when he spots the mail or delivery drivers, but it’s all part of his charming, watchful personality!
Roo has a wonderful temperament and has not shown any food, toy, or water aggression toward people or other dogs, making him a safe and loving companion!
With his goofy personality, affectionate nature, and incredible progress, Roo is truly a diamond in the rough who is ready to shine in a forever home. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social, and loyal companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Roo is your guy!
