Story
Meet Timber..... While Timber could be mistaken for a small wolf, he’s a Husky-Shepherd Mix. A a very smart and handsome boy!! Timber enjoys playing and running; he’d prefer to run and play with a human companion rather than another dog. He LOVES people and is good with most everyone. Timber’s estimated date of birth is July 4 2021. He’s about 60 lbs. of energy! An ideal home for Timber, and one in which he’d thrive and his family would forever enjoy his companionship is one experienced with the Husky (or a similar) breed, has the time to commit to a young large-breed energetic boy, and a willingness to set boundaries and guidelines to ensure Timber evolves into a perfect family member. Timber is a quick learner and is sure to make progress toward his behavior goals pretty quickly! Timber would love a secure, fenced yard, and possibly being an only dog so he can receive ALL the attention!! Timber is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. If you might be interested in adding this handsome boy to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895

Story
Terra is a very sweet, cute Husky Mix, possibly Husky-Shepherd. Her estimated date of birth is July 4, 2021; at the time of this post, she is about 1 ½ years old. She weighs about 50 lbs. Terra is typical Husky through-and-through. She is active, somewhat high-strung, and loves being outside. When she is by herself, she is overall well-behaved…given she’s a younger Husky. She can get carried away and become obnoxious when engaging with other dogs. As such, she is most likely to do best being an only dog. She is not a dog-park dog. While playful and energetic, Terra is also very affectionate. She enjoys people and does pretty well when meeting people she does not know. As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Terra would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with her new family. No doubt, Terra has the potential to evolve into the perfect pup, but is looking for that family willing to commit to her and provide her the forever home she deserves. Terra is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed & microchipped and on year-round heartworm prevention. To learn how you can add this cute young girl to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the Chicago area and adopt our dogs only local to the area.

Story
Magnus here — but some of you may know me as the Vibes Manager ??. My foster mom says I bring good energy everywhere I go, and honestly? She’s right. I even sing along to music sometimes (Husky things ????).But before I became the resident morale booster, life was rough. I was found wandering the streets of Hoffman Estates — maybe even in your backyard — and taken to a holding facility. They told me, “Just 7 days and your family will come.”But nobody did.I ended up waiting almost 30 days in a tiny kennel. Same four walls. Cold floor. Hardly any space to move. I’m only a year old, and all I wanted was to run, play, and just be a dog again. I got stressed, I got sad… I just shut down. Can you blame me?Then one day everything changed. A rescue heard my story, a foster family came to meet me, and their dog loved me too. So I said PEACE OUT to kennel life and started fresh. And let me tell you… my new beginning?FLIPPING. FANTASTIC.I’ve discovered tug-o-war (obsessed), learned that crates are amazing when you’re not stuck in them all day, and I run around like a goofy noodle while my foster mom laughs at me. I love every human I meet, my tail has no chill, and I’m basically a professional friend-maker.Normally I’d tell you how I fit into your family based on what you’re looking for… but clearly that’s not working. So let’s try something different.Do NOT adopt me if you’re:? Not down for snuggles — because they will happen.? Not looking for a training buddy — I’m scary smart. My default move is a perfect heel or standing between your legs like a little weirdo ??.? Not wanting a crate-trained king — I hang out in mine like it’s my bachelor pad.? Not wanting a dog-friendly dog — I LOVE other pups. I’ll even talk to them from across the room.If that turns you off… yeah, definitely don’t adopt me.But if you’re into goofy cuddles, morale-boosting energy, resting-my-head-on-your-chest like I pay rent, and a dog who follows you around like your biggest fan… then maybe we should meet.I love my foster home, but I’m ready for a forever family I never have to leave. So what do you say?You bring the snacks — I’ll bring the wiggles. ????Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with cur

Story
Meet Snail – A Beautiful Husky with Eyes That Tell a Story of Survival Snail is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky who has endured a horrific cruelty case in Indiana but has emerged with a spirit that is as strong as his striking, soulful eyes. These eyes tell a story of resilience, hope, and a deep desire to trust again. Snail is gentle, intelligent, and incredibly loyal. While he may be cautious at first, his affectionate nature shines through once he feels safe. He’s looking for a calm and loving home that understands the journey he’s been on and is ready to give him the patience and kindness he deserves. This majestic boy would thrive in a quiet environment with a family who can provide structure, love, and gentle encouragement. Snail is ready for a fresh start where he can feel safe, loved, and truly at home. From his sleepover hosts: "Had the pleasure of hosting Snail for the weekend. He really is a wonderful dog! He's crate trained and housebroken. Have a treat handy, he's very food motivated! He's intelligent and wants to learn. He can "sit",and "down", and "sit and stay" before eating his food and before heading out for a walk. Obedience training would help Snail to reach his full potential. He would do well with an active family, preferably with teenage children. Loves running and playing and is always ready for an adventure. He is high energy and needs work with leash walking. When excited he jumps and gets a little "mouthy", never hard or scary, just playful. He is a husky afterall! In the house he'll follow you around and wants to see everything you're doing and is never far from "the pack" when relaxing after a walk. He's waiting for a loving family that is willing to provide the time and effort to help him become the awesome dog he was meant to be."
