Story
💙 Meet Duvall Duvall is a striking young Husky/Great Pyrenees mix with unforgettable blue eyes, a gorgeous blonde coat, and an even bigger personality. At just over two years old, he's intelligent, affectionate, athletic, and looking for a family that understands what it means to share life with an energetic working-breed dog. This handsome boy absolutely loves his people. Whether you're heading out for a hike, working in the yard, teaching him something new, or relaxing after a busy day, Duvall wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's happiest when he has both a job to do and people to love. Like many young working breeds, Duvall isn't a dog who's content with a quick walk around the block. His ideal home will provide daily opportunities for physical exercise and mental enrichment. Long walks, hiking adventures, training sessions, puzzle toys, scent games, fetch, and structured play all help keep his active mind and body satisfied. When his needs are met, Duvall is an incredibly rewarding companion. Duvall also enjoys other dogs—but he's still polishing his social skills. His play style is enthusiastic, physical, and sometimes a bit overwhelming. He would do best with confident, well-socialized dogs his size or larger that enjoy active play and are comfortable setting appropriate canine boundaries. Any introductions to resident dogs should be done slowly and thoughtfully, allowing everyone time to adjust and build positive relationships. Rushing introductions or expecting instant friendships simply isn't fair to Duvall or his future canine companions. Because of his intelligence, energy, and size, Duvall is looking for adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him succeed. Consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement will go a long way with this eager-to-learn boy. Experience with working breeds is a plus, but more important is a willingness to invest the time and energy needed to help him thrive. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, but it's not a substitute for exercise, enrichment, and engagement. Duvall is looking for a family that sees their dog as a true partner in life's adventures—not just a pet who spends most of the day entertaining himself. Duvall has already experienced more transitions than any young dog should. What he needs now is a family committed to giving him the time, patience, guidance, and outlets he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving, intelligent companion who will happily join you on every adventure for years to come. If you're ready for an active, devoted best friend and understand the unique needs of a young working-breed dog, Duvall can't wait to meet you. 💙🐾 P.S. Duvall is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. Story
Harley is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Red Heeler mix who has the whole package: calm, loyal, smart, and deeply devoted to her people. She is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her commands, and settles beautifully in the home. She enjoys her daily walks, her toys, and above all, being close to her humans. A true Velcro dog, she loves nothing more than quietly sticking by your side. Harley can be a bit reserved with men and loves to protect her human. When she is feeling unsure or scared, she may bark or growl out of fear, but with slow, positive introductions, she warms up wonderfully. In her foster home, she absolutely adores her foster dad and teenage foster brother, showing just how loving and loyal she becomes once she feels safe. She gets along with other dogs and is in foster with dogs of various sizes and personalities. She may show herding instincts, so a home with older children and no cats would be best for her. Harley is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program, giving you the chance to get to know her and see just how special she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick by your side through everything, Harley just might be your perfect match. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Lola Tung 🖤 Lola is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 65 pounds, and she’s looking for a home that appreciates everything that makes her special. Smart, athletic, and eager to engage with her people, Lola thrives when she has a job to do and someone to share adventures with. This girl is the total package when it comes to training. Lola is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her basic obedience commands, including “place,” and is highly responsive to her humans. She loves learning, loves working, and would excel in activities like agility, trick training, frisbee, or any sport that lets her use both her brain and athleticism. When playtime rolls around, Lola is all in. Chasing tennis balls and catching frisbees are among her favorite hobbies, and she has the drive and enthusiasm to keep up with an active family. Lola is well-mannered in the home. She is not destructive, settles nicely in her crate, and isn’t a nuisance barker. She may alert you when someone comes to the door, but otherwise enjoys relaxing with her people. Lola’s ideal home will understand her specific needs. She would do best as an only dog or with a playful male dog of similar size. She has successfully lived with a male dog and enjoys canine companionship in the right match. However, she should not live with female dogs. She also has a high prey drive and should not live with cats or small dogs. Lola does well with children but would be best suited for a home with kids around 8 years and older. Her enthusiasm, athleticism, and love of play can be a bit overwhelming for younger children. Like many shepherds, Lola can be somewhat reactive on walks and enjoys keeping an eye on what’s happening around her yard, but she responds well to training, structure, and leadership. Lola isn’t looking for just any home—she’s looking for the right home. In the right environment, she is a loyal, intelligent, fun-loving companion with so much to offer. Her current family loves her deeply and recognizes that she deserves a home where she can truly thrive. If you’re looking for an active, trainable, devoted best friend, Lola might just be your perfect match. Lola Tung is eligible for our foster to adopt program, meaning you can have a trial period before making it official- setting all parties up for success and a smooth transition. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
