Are you looking for a buddy to sit down with a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage and have a meaningful conversation? Sure, we all like our alone time, but it’s good for the soul to have a heart-to-heart convo once in a while. If so, we have the boy for you. His name is Aspen, and he is an 8-year-old, 53-pound Siberian Husky. Now, we all know they love to “talk” but our boy will actually answer you! He has his own language, and it consists of lots of “Wee Woos”, as his foster mom refers to them. Since Aspen is a bit mature in age, he doesn't have the high Husky energy level, but he still needs a decent walk twice a day. This boy gets along with other dogs, preferably larger ones. Cats are an unknown at this time. Aspen is housetrained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He is working on his leash skills, and with more practice, he will have them down. Aspen does well with all people, and we believe he would be fine with the small humans, too. Wanna run some errands or take a vacay, he’s up for that as he loves his car rides. He knows a few things and is happy to show you, such as sit, shake, and lay down. Aspen requires a 6’ SECURE privacy fence or 6’ chain link fencing. He has spent the majority of his life roaming and being allowed to do so, so he has the itch to run and escape. A family with experience with the Husky breed and familiarity with its qualities would be the best home for Aspen. His foster tells us he truly is the sweetest boy and has the best personality. 🐈🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈🐈 “Hey, handsome!” Winston hears that a lot, and it’s not hard to see why. He’s a 5-year-old Siberian Husky (around 46 pounds) with a rare piebald coat – lots of white, with bold patches that make him hard to miss. He has the personality to match. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves giving kisses, and is always up for a “chat” in his cute husky voice. 🗣️ Winston likes to keep tabs on what you’re up to and wants to be part of whatever’s going on (whether you invited him or not). 😄 He was found as a stray and likely didn’t have much structure before, but he’s adjusting well and showing just how sweet and easygoing he can be. He’s about 90% house trained, knows “wait,” and is just starting to learn the basics. Leash walking is new to him, so expect some pulling as he figures it out. He’s also just beginning to show interest in toys, which is pretty fun to watch him realize, “Oh wow, these are actually great.” 🧸 Winston does well with other dogs overall, though he may be selective and can sometimes guard toys or his person. He’s been around cats and may bark, but he’s not aggressive and can be redirected. He’d do best in a home that can offer patience, structure, and plenty of attention. A fenced yard would be ideal, and while he’s not a big fan of crates or getting into the car, he settles once he’s on the move. Right now, Winston is in heartworm treatment, so he’s keeping things pretty low-key for a few more weeks while his body heals. He’s done a great job staying calm, and once he’s cleared, he’ll be ready to ease into a more active routine. Winston is a real stunner – sweet, slightly quirky, and still learning, but already knows how to love. ❤️ Winston’s adoption fee is $175, which includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. After her owner became incarcerated, Ali came into our care alongside her sisters — who have all since found their forever homes. Now it’s Ali’s turn! Ali has really started to come out of her shell and show her true personality. She’s incredibly sweet, calm, and loving, and once she feels comfortable, she’ll even give you the softest little kisses. She can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience, she warms up beautifully. She is very social with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with a cat. Ali is fully potty trained and is learning her basic commands — she’s already working on “sit” and is very treat motivated. She’s a smart girl who enjoys having something to do, especially if it involves a good chew bone. Ali loves spending time outside and will happily run around the backyard, taking it all in. She’s also been making great progress with car rides and is becoming much more comfortable on the go. Because of her timid nature, Ali can be a bit of a flight risk and has slipped out of a leash before, so she will need a secure setup and an adopter who is mindful and patient during transitions and walks. Ali is a wonderful, sensitive girl who just needs a little time, consistency, and love to fully blossom.
