Story
Meet Rocky 🖤🐾 | 2-Year-Old German Shepherd | Smart, Loyal & Ready for His Next Adventure Rocky is everything people love about German Shepherds—intelligent, eager to learn, and incredibly devoted to his people. At just 2 years old, he has his whole life ahead of him and is looking for someone who understands the breed and is excited to help him reach his full potential. Rocky came to us after his family had to leave the country, and while this has been a big change for him, he's ready to start his next chapter. Like many young Shepherds, Rocky has a lot of energy and thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental enrichment. He's still learning about the world and can become overstimulated when he sees people or other dogs on walks, leading to some leash reactivity. We also don't think he's had much experience with structured leash walking, so he'll need a patient adopter who is committed to training and helping him build confidence. The good news? Rocky is incredibly smart and has all the makings of an amazing companion. With consistency, guidance, and positive reinforcement, we know he'll blossom into the loyal best friend German Shepherds are known to be. According to his previous family, Rocky did well with dogs, though he has a very energetic play style. He previously lived with children, but because of his size and enthusiasm, we think he'd do best with either an adult only home or older kids who can comfortably handle an active young dog. Cats, however, are a little too exciting for Rocky, so he'll need a cat-free home. If you're looking for a young dog with incredible potential and are ready to invest the time to help him succeed, Rocky will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a lifelong friendship. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Harley is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Red Heeler mix who has the whole package: calm, loyal, smart, and deeply devoted to her people. She is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her commands, and settles beautifully in the home. She enjoys her daily walks, her toys, and above all, being close to her humans. A true Velcro dog, she loves nothing more than quietly sticking by your side. Harley can be a bit reserved with men and loves to protect her human. When she is feeling unsure or scared, she may bark or growl out of fear, but with slow, positive introductions, she warms up wonderfully. In her foster home, she absolutely adores her foster dad and teenage foster brother, showing just how loving and loyal she becomes once she feels safe. She gets along with other dogs and is in foster with dogs of various sizes and personalities. She may show herding instincts, so a home with older children and no cats would be best for her. Harley is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program, giving you the chance to get to know her and see just how special she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick by your side through everything, Harley just might be your perfect match. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Lola Tung 🖤 Lola is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 65 pounds, and she’s looking for a home that appreciates everything that makes her special. Smart, athletic, and eager to engage with her people, Lola thrives when she has a job to do and someone to share adventures with. This girl is the total package when it comes to training. Lola is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her basic obedience commands, including “place,” and is highly responsive to her humans. She loves learning, loves working, and would excel in activities like agility, trick training, frisbee, or any sport that lets her use both her brain and athleticism. When playtime rolls around, Lola is all in. Chasing tennis balls and catching frisbees are among her favorite hobbies, and she has the drive and enthusiasm to keep up with an active family. Lola is well-mannered in the home. She is not destructive, settles nicely in her crate, and isn’t a nuisance barker. She may alert you when someone comes to the door, but otherwise enjoys relaxing with her people. Lola’s ideal home will understand her specific needs. She would do best as an only dog or with a playful male dog of similar size. She has successfully lived with a male dog and enjoys canine companionship in the right match. However, she should not live with female dogs. She also has a high prey drive and should not live with cats or small dogs. Lola does well with children but would be best suited for a home with kids around 8 years and older. Her enthusiasm, athleticism, and love of play can be a bit overwhelming for younger children. Like many shepherds, Lola can be somewhat reactive on walks and enjoys keeping an eye on what’s happening around her yard, but she responds well to training, structure, and leadership. Lola isn’t looking for just any home—she’s looking for the right home. In the right environment, she is a loyal, intelligent, fun-loving companion with so much to offer. Her current family loves her deeply and recognizes that she deserves a home where she can truly thrive. If you’re looking for an active, trainable, devoted best friend, Lola might just be your perfect match. Lola Tung is eligible for our foster to adopt program, meaning you can have a trial period before making it official- setting all parties up for success and a smooth transition. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Bishop is an older dog who needs a place to stay. He’s housetrained and can go for 12-18 hours without needing to go to the bathroom. He’s about 70 lbs, pure bred, not neutered. He’s a very kind dog, can’t jump up anymore and needs a back yard. We are moving to a place where we can’t keep him with us. Good with kids, doesn’t mind other dogs, won’t eat off the table or get on the bed.

🎶 Na na na nananana, nananana... hey Jude 😍 If you've been looking for the newest MVP of your household, Jude is ready to sign with her forever family. ✍️⚽ This gorgeous German Shepherd mix is 3 months old and already stands out on the field. Because... those ears. We're actually not 100% convinced they're ears at all. They might be satellite dishes. 📡😂 But man, are they cuuuute. She currently weighs about 15 pounds and is expected to top out around 50 pounds. Jude may be new to the roster, but she's already mastered one position: right by your side. ❤️ She doesn’t exactly believe in solo sports – this little gal prefers to keep her teammates within sight at all times. The only thing she'll leave your side for? A squeaky toy or a bully stick. Jude is still figuring out the puppy playbook. 🐶📕 She's working on house training, kennel training, and leash walking one day at a time. She already knows "sit" and "outside," and because she's such a smart girl, she'll be picking up new tricks in no time. A confident dog sibling would make an excellent coach, but it's not a requirement. She’s a fan of kids but hasn’t been around cats yet. And one thing to know about Jude: don't underestimate her athleticism. 😅 She’s discovered she can climb over baby gates, so she'll need a home that's ready to stay one step ahead while she continues learning. It's time for Jude to join her forever team. Do you have room for one more player? ⚽🌟 Jude's adoption fee is $275 and includes her spay, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Valorie is still just a young girl, but she’s been through so much. There’s a reason we spell her name the way we do: She has displayed a lot of valor. We are bound and determined to turn Valorie’s life around so she can experience the love of people and know that she is safe and cared for, furever. Valorie came to us with not one but two broken legs. She is now healed from her second surgery, and the vets think she’ll be able to run, play and jump like a regular dog with no lasting physical effects. However, because the injuries happened at the hands of humans, she still bears some emotional scars. Here are some things that bring her joy: 🐕🐩🐕 Other dogs! She loves them so purely and trusts them completely 💦💧💦 Water. She plays in the creek at her foster’s house and has a blast, and she doesn’t mind the rain or storms at all. 🌤🌷🌳 Being outside. She wants to go, go, go, whether she’s in the yard or on a leash walk. 🚗 Car rides 🌭🍔🍦Food and treats – the way to Valorie’s heart is through yummy eats 🤸‍♀️ 🐾 😴 Her energy level will match your energy – from adventure time to lazy time She knows sit, down, come, kisses & kennel and is learning more basic commands. Walks are exciting, & she pulls a little at first, then settles into a nice pace with you. She is house-trained and bell-trained, & she sleeps in her crate at night. Valorie is very gentle with kids who are respectful to dogs and who know that she will need space at first. Then, she will love and protect them hard. So kids are fine but cats are a 'no' for this girl. She is bashful because of her past and may startle at sudden noises and movements, especially at first. She will need some time – likely days or even weeks – to acclimate to her new home, before many new people or visitors start showing up. Valorie will continually remind you what life is all about and keep you focused on all the joys there are to behold. Want to be her forever hero? Apply to adopt her today. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped, plus current on preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick. Her adoption fee is $175. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Hi! Hey! Hello there! I’m Jules! 😊 I’m a 3-month-old Shepherd mix and currently weigh 17 pounds. But, but guess what? I’m probably going to grow up to be a 65-70 pound girl! Can you imagine just how cute I’m going to be? I mean, look at my sweet face and adorable eyes, and I’m still just a baby! 🥰 You might recognize my namesake because I’m part of the World Cup litter, named after all the cool soccer stars! Much like them, I’m a playful pup who’s always up for an adventure! Some of my favorite things include: 🔸️️Car rides 🚗 🔸️Playing with toys, especially frozen ones because they feel so good on my puppy teefers 😬 🔸️Learning to go on leash walks 🚶‍♀️ 🔸️Other dogs 🐕 🔸️Playing with people 🤾‍♀️ 🔸️Daily exercise 🐾 I am also SO SMART! I have already mastered: ☑️House training ☑️Crate training ☑️Knowing my name ☑️Sitting ☑️ Lying down ☑️Sitting and waiting for food ☑️Sleeping in a pen at night Now I know I seem pretty perfect! I mean, I basically am BOL...that’s bark out loud for those that don’t speak puppy! 😂 But I am still working on a few things like leash walks and how to stay/come when told. I’m also learning about kiddos. Sometimes the smaller or louder ones scare me just a little bit at first, but I warm up to them pretty quickly! I’m just SO EXCITED to score my furever family. I would LOVE for that to include another doggy to play with, an active home that will take me on daily walks, and patience to help me keep working on my puppy habits so I can be a well-mannered lady one day! 💖 Jules is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, as well as flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Her adoption fee is $275, and meet-and-greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

😽Cat Friendly😽 You don’t have to be a fan of the famous Mötley Crüe to fall in love with OUR Vince Neil! Our boy doesn’t have the pipes of this legend, but he certainly has the presence. 👨‍🎤 Vince is full of charisma and personality just like his namesake. He is a 4-month-old German Shepherd mix weighing 25 pounds and will rock on to around 55 pounds once fully grown. He’s an active dude and loves to jam out with his doggie friends, little people, cats, and even horses. Now that’s a well-versed little man. Wanna go swimming or take a weekend trip to the lake? He is your boy! Vince loves the water and even enjoys playing with his towel once he gets out and dries off. 💦😎 This smart boy is so excited to learn all kinds of new things, and has already locked down crate training. Vince needs some practice with his house-training skills and basic commands. He loves to please his audience, so we are sure he will have them memorized in no time. Walking on a leash is new, but wandering around scrolling through the neighborhood sounds like a rockin’ good time to him. 🚶🏻 🚶‍♀️ Vince is a young pup and will thrive with plenty of activity to wear this little rock star out, so an active home will be best for him. He is looking to perform his final gig by meeting you and putting on a show. If you would love to catch this show, complete an adoption application today! Tickets to this one-man show won’t last long. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🎫 Vince Neil is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His admission fee, ahem, adoption fee, is $275. That’s all, ladies and gentlemen… thanks for your attention! Good night and Rock On!🤘🤘🤘 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕
