Story
Hi, I'm Foxy, a senior Shiba Inu with the classic foxy looks that my breed is known for. I may have some special needs when it comes to my vision-I can see better out of one eye than the other-but that doesn't slow me down! I still trot around with confidence, enjoying life and getting where I need to go. I'm housebroken and have great manners, so I'd love to find a cozy home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years instead of being in the shelter. If you're looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who's still full of spirit, I'd love to be part of your family!Complete the adoption application on our website and make your appointment to meet Foxy today. We have appointments available daily except Monday. Call the shelter with questions: 609-309-5214. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 15.25 Age: 7yrs 0mths 4wks

** Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story: Cream was a puppy abandoned at the foot of a mountain beside a highway. The mother dog lived as a farm guardian and got pregnant by a stray dog, giving birth to six puppies, two of whom died. Cream was one of the four surviving puppies. Story
Meet Lacy! This adorable 1-year-old, 15-lb Shiba Inu is full of love and affection, always ready for snuggles. She will make room for herself on your lap while you're on the couch watching TV. Lacy is a playful and energetic pup who thrives on fun-whether she's chasing after a ball, chewing on her favorite toys, or chasing around the resident dog. Lacy is very food motivated and eager to learn; she's excited to find a forever family who can give her consistent training to help her reach her full potential. She already knows how to sit, and she's ready to keep learning with the right guidance. Lacy is house-trained but, being a young pup, she'll still need regular bathroom breaks every few hours. She's also making great progress with crate training. Lacy would thrive in a home where she's the only dog so she can get the focus and attention she needs during her training. She's great with other dogs but needs a little time to warm up to them. Like many Shibas, Lacy gets very excited for outdoor adventures. She loves walks, chasing squirrels, and car rides. Lacy will need a secure, fenced yard or barriers inside the home to prevent her from slipping outside. It's also important that adopters research the Shiba Inu breed to ensure they understand her unique personality and needs. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic companion who's ready for fun and cuddles, Lacy might be the perfect match for you! Lacy is being fostered in Edison, NJ. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
We got Luca as a puppy in 2020 but we really feel like he needs a home with a big yard and lots of space beyond what we can provide in an NYC apartment. He’s high energy and loves to play fetch with tennis balls. He does have separation anxiety and we are looking for a committed adopter that will continue his training. We live in Brooklyn and recently our jobs are both requiring us to tend to travel quite a bit more so we have to make arrangements for each time we are away. Although we’re heartbroken we know it’s in his best interest and we just want to find a family and new forever home that can give him all the love and consistent attention he needs. He is microchipped and neutered and up to date on all his vaccines. He’s now 4 years old and weighs 30 lbs.

Story
**Located in Korea** Meet Glinda! She is surely going to be pop-u-lar! Rescue Story: As a puppy, she went home with a family that had four children. The kids begged to have a dog and, without any preparation, they family decided to adopt. As she grew, she began to shed, and the children became frightened. They decided to tie her up in the parking lot and left her there, neglected, for two years. The family that adopted her said that they couldn't take her with them when they moved, so she was abandoned in a parking lot and was unfortunately infected with heartworm (which has since been cured!) More About Glinda: Energy Level (1-10): 6.5 3 Keywords: Playful, Affectionate, Smart She barks when strangers visit, and sometimes barks as if she's talking when she wants something - a great communicator! When she goes for a walk, she gets scared when motorcycles or loud cars pass by. She's afraid of machine noises. However, she walks well without pulling on the leash. Despite her fear of loud noises when walking, her foster thinks she would do just fine living in the city. Favorite Things: She enjoys sniffing around and exploring! Apply to make Glinda your fateful sidekick today! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##1843734##
