Story
Meet Lacy!
This adorable 1-year-old, 15-lb Shiba Inu is full of love and affection, always ready for snuggles. She will make room for herself on your lap while you're on the couch watching TV. Lacy is a playful and energetic pup who thrives on fun-whether she's chasing after a ball, chewing on her favorite toys, or chasing around the resident dog.
Lacy is very food motivated and eager to learn; she's excited to find a forever family who can give her consistent training to help her reach her full potential. She already knows how to sit, and she's ready to keep learning with the right guidance. Lacy is house-trained but, being a young pup, she'll still need regular bathroom breaks every few hours. She's also making great progress with crate training. Lacy would thrive in a home where she's the only dog so she can get the focus and attention she needs during her training. She's great with other dogs but needs a little time to warm up to them.
Like many Shibas, Lacy gets very excited for outdoor adventures. She loves walks, chasing squirrels, and car rides. Lacy will need a secure, fenced yard or barriers inside the home to prevent her from slipping outside. It's also important that adopters research the Shiba Inu breed to ensure they understand her unique personality and needs.
If you're looking for a sweet, energetic companion who's ready for fun and cuddles, Lacy might be the perfect match for you!
Lacy is being fostered in Edison, NJ. Her adoption fee is $500.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
