Story
🚨 Monica – grieving, gentle, and running out of time 💔 Monica has already lost everything… and now she’s sitting alone. She came into the shelter with her sister—the only comfort she had left. Then suddenly, her sister was gone. And now Monica waits in her kennel… quiet, confused, and alone. But even after all of that… she is still so incredibly sweet. This beautiful Shiba/Shepherd mix is just 37 lbs—a perfect, manageable size—and has the softest, most loving nature. She enjoys chasing a ball, but what she really wants is someone to love her. She doesn’t ask for much. Just kindness. Patience. A person of her own. ✨ Only 37 lbs ✨ Gentle, affectionate, and loving ✨ Playful but calm ✨ Heartbroken, but still hopeful She has every reason to shut down… but she hasn’t. She’s still choosing love. Please don’t let her grieve—and be overlooked—at the same time. Monica deserves to leave the shelter not in loss… but in the arms of someone who will never let her go. 🐾 Be the one who saves her. Story
Tanna’s story almost ended before it had the chance to begin. This beautiful 4‑year‑old girl was rescued from a North Carolina shelter just minutes before euthanasia, and she’s been proving ever since that she was absolutely worth saving. At 45 lbs, fully vaccinated, and soon to be spayed, Tanna is a likely Carolina Dog / Shiba Inu mix, complete with the signature Shiba curly tail. She’s a calm, quiet companion in the home, fully house‑trained and crate‑trained, and she loves hopping in the car for a ride. Tanna prefers to be the only dog in the home. She’s reactive to other dogs on leash, so a family willing to give her space and structure will help her shine. She does wonderfully with adults and older children who understand how to give her a gentle, respectful environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, low‑key companion who’s already mastered home life, Tanna may be your girl. Contact Julie at 919‑624‑0059 or julie@arcadiarescue.org to learn more.

Meet Waffles: connoisseur of all that is comfy and cozy. The Danish have a cultural concept known as "hygge" (pronounced HOO-GUH.) It centers on togetherness, warmth, comfort and enjoying the simple pleasures in life in a relaxed atmosphere. Waffles must be Danish because he absolutely embodies all things hygge.Waffles has officially retired from all strenuous activities, including but not limited to: running, drama, and being in a hurry for absolutely anything. This distinguished, experienced Shiba mix is a sweet, chill older gentleman who's life philosophy can be best summed up as "why stand when you could lounge?" His greatest passions include butt scratches, cozy blankets, and achieving championship-level naps in sunny spots around the house. Waffles is tolerant, easygoing and happy to simply vibe beside his people while looking mildly judgmental in the adorable way only a Shiba can. Waffles has fairly simple needs and the only requirement is love. If you're searching for a low-key best friend who treats relaxation like a full-time career, Waffles is ready to report for cuddle duty.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story
Meet Oakley — your loyal, ball-loving best friend At around 5½ years old and 40 pounds, Oakley is the perfect mix of beauty and devotion. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves being pet and spending quality time with her person. Once she bonds with you, her loyalty truly shines.Oakley’s favorite activities include playing fetch (she prefers a two-ball system because giving one up is negotiable unless there’s another ready ), going for long walks, and playing tug with her toys. She especially loves being outside, whether she’s exploring or just relaxing alongside someone she loves.Oakley would do best as the only pet in the home and in an adult-only household, where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly be the center of attention. In the right environment, she will be an incredibly loving and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate dog to share your days with, Oakley might just be your perfect match Apply to adopt Oakley at bcaaofnj.org Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Milo’s a 8yo 21lb Shiba Inu mix. He loves kids and ok with other dogs but seems to prefer them not around. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’s good with a secure fenced in yard and going for harness leashed walks. He loves toys, people especially to cuddle with. He’s loving, loyal, happy and chill. He loves to run and play fetch in his fosters secure fenced in yard. Milo’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, active people along with giving leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Milo as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Milo’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Jenkintown, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
🚨 MILO NEEDS A HERO — HE’S RUNNING OUT OF TIME 🚨 Milo hasn’t had a fair start… and now he’s paying the price. This ~4-year-old Basenji mix (about 50 lbs) was removed from his owner after being left without proper shelter or water. Since then, the world has felt scary, loud, and unpredictable. Milo is timid and unsure, trying to figure out who he can trust. But he’s not shut down—he’s just waiting for someone to show him he’s safe. And when you do… he leans in. He accepts gentle pets. He tries. That’s the part of Milo no one sees in a kennel. With other dogs, Milo can come on a little strong at first—he may posture or try to assert himself—so he’ll need slow, structured introductions and guidance. With the right person, this is absolutely manageable. 💔 The reality is… dogs like Milo don’t get much time. Not because they’re bad— but because they need someone willing to understand them. ✨ What Milo needs: • Patient, experienced adopter or foster • Calm, structured environment • Proper introductions with other dogs (or happy as your only) • Someone willing to go slow and build trust ✨ What Milo will give: • A deep, loyal bond • Quiet companionship • The kind of transformation that changes both your lives He’s not aggressive. He’s not a lost cause. He’s just never been given a reason to feel safe. 👉 Please be the one who changes Milo’s story. PLEASE HELP THIS BOY NOT MUCH TIME BEFORE HES KILLED ‼️ PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152
