Story
We have had to make a life change and are now living in an apartment where she use to be in a home. It has been a harder transition that we had thought. Gracie has lived with George for the last 9 years and if they do not get rehoused together there will likely be a transition period, but she will adapt quickly with care. She is the sweetest girl and just would love some love and attention and then happy to lay next to you or on a bed nearby.

Story
Tink is an 8-year-old miniature poodle that we adopted when she was one year old. She loves being around her family, and enjoys playing fetch, tug-of-war, rolling her ball off of every ledge imaginable, and sleeping in the sun. Finding a nice, quiet sun patch might be her favorite thing to do! Most of the time, Tink is calm and playful; however, she is a reactive dog and does have a bite history. About one year after adoption, she bit me as I was leaning in to kiss her, but did not realize she had a treat near her. This did cause bleeding, but the bite was superficial. Recently, she nipped at our two week old baby when she was crying. This did not leave a mark, and was a 'corrective nip'. We have spoken with three behavioralists, and all seem to think this behavior can be corrected. Tink is seeking a loving and quiet home where she is the only pet, and a home that is not too active, as her favorite thing to do is snuggle with her family while eating popcorn and watching tv

Story
Although he may look like Chewbacca’s smaller cousin or a sentient haystack, Strength is a mutt of many flavors – we think some shih tzu, maybe some yorkie (honestly maybe a little Chewy, who knows?). Strength’s hair is so big because it has to contain all of his charisma, because this little guy is campaigning to be the Mayor of Muttville. He indiscriminately befriends all he encounters, whether they be human or canine, and it’s hard to resist tangling your hands in his gorgeous blonde locks. We suspect that, with a good groom, Strength may look like a completely different dog, but that’s all the better – you can have two dogs for the price of one! And who doesn’t need a little more Strength? Here's some notes from his foster: Strength is a very sweet boy who wants to be near you and loves getting scritches. He’s got a surprising amount of energy! He loves his walks. On some walks he’s eager and out in front for over a mile at a brisk pace, other walks he’d rather just sniff all the things. Most of the day he’s happy to snooze near you in his bed. He’s good with people and dogs. He gets along great with our young kitty. He does ok being left alone - he’ll bark for a few minutes, but then he settles down. Rides fine in car.

Story
Daily life got you down? Everything feeling mediocre and lackluster? Sounds like you just need a little Inspiration! Although this shih tzu mix might look like a little disheveled (in fact, he vaguely resembles the burst of inspiration as depicted on a character sheet), he’s waiting to lead you in the right direction, even if not in the way you anticipated. Inspiration may not see or hear too well, but that’s okay! In fact, it’s better – he doesn’t have any mundanities distracting him from his wondrous imagination. Inspiration is a bit of a slowpoke (sometimes Inspiration doesn’t so much as strike as waddle leisurely), but that’s because he likes to stop and smell the roses. Do you need a little Inspiration in your life? Here are some notes from his foster: Inspiration is a sweet boy and has been a great houseguest. He gets along fine with other dogs, people and children. He also does okay being left alone. He tends to just curl up and enjoy a good Snooze. Inspiration has learned to go up and down stairs on his own! He has become a much more confident walker and walks many blocks (mile or more) without much issue. He is completely potty-trained and goes outside every time. He's food-motivated and can be trained with treats! Inspiration follows us around everywhere lovingly, he likes to be snuggled! All around he is happy being cozy and loved.
