Story
Roxy is a senior dog that grew up in a loving environment. My young son at the time purchased her from a family friend many years ago. Since than my daughter and son have left home and now Roxy is lonely. Unfortunately I work long nites and sleep all day and unable to care for her adequately. She has always been a sweet and shy girl. She is house trained and microchipped.

Story
Adrian recently had a dental cleaning and a mass removal on his shoulder. He is healing beautifully and ready to find his forever home. Adrian is 14 years old, weighs 40 lbs and is looking for a special home that understands the needs of a senior dog. Adrian is a sweet, affectionate little shadow who wants to be wherever his person is. He’s a true velcro dog, if you move, he’s right behind you. His favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch, and if he can’t be there, he will happily settle at your feet. He also loves donut-style beds and cozy enclosed spaces, and often chooses to nap in the hallway. Despite his age, Adrian still enjoys a short game of fetch if the ball is tossed right in front of him. He walks beautifully on a leash and stays right by your side. As a senior, Adrian does have some special needs. He has limited vision, especially at night, and can become disoriented. The veterinarian believes some of his pacing and nighttime howling may be related to pain, cognitive decline, or a combination of both. Because he doesn’t always know where he is and can’t see well, he may bump into furniture, walls, or other dogs. His current medications include: • Gabapentin 200 mg every 12 hours for pain (can be given up to 3 times daily if needed) • Denamarin once daily for liver support • Trazodone 100 mg at bedtime, given with Gabapentin if he is pacing or howling at night Adrian prefers soft foods, though he will occasionally crunch on treats. He isn’t very interested in toys or bones. Grooming is important for Adrian’s comfort. His coat must be kept short, especially during warm weather, as he overheats easily. Hair around his eyes should be trimmed so he can see, and his paws should be kept neat to help him maintain traction while wearing his Tiger Toes. He tolerates his ear cleaning, and regular grooming helps keep him comfortable. Adrian is looking for a calm, loving home where he can spend his golden years being someone’s constant companion. He may require a little extra care, but he gives plenty of love in return. Adrian needs someone that works from home or is home the majority of the day. He does fantastic with other dogs, but if there is another dog in the home they need to be gentle and low energy. Story
Please welcome Lillian back to Rescue Row. Lillian was adopted three years ago and, through no fault of her own, has returned to our rescue. After her mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness, her family made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender her so she can find a home that can provide the exercise and attention she needs. At 3½ years old, Lillian is looking for a very active family of her own. She is friendly, outgoing, and always ready for her next adventure. With her happy personality and active nature, she’ll make an amazing companion for a family that loves to stay on the go. She is house trained, kennel trained, great with babies and children, does well with other dogs and ignores the resident boss cat. According to Wisdom Panel, Lillian is: 49% Australian Shepherd/42% Poodle/7% Golden Retriever/2% Miniature American Shepherd. If you’re searching for an active, fun-loving companion, Lillian could be the perfect addition to your family. Apply today at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 buiness days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex.
