Story
Ames is a 15-lb, 2-year-old Shih Tzu mix, is ready to find his forever home! Ames is a happy, joyful little guy who truly loves life. He enjoys playing with his toys and is always up for a game of fetch. Watching him race around the backyard doing zoomies is pure happiness. Ames would thrive in a home with another small to medium-sized dog who enjoys playtime and a good game of chase. When it’s time to relax, Ames is all about the snuggles. He’ll curl up beside you on the couch and before you know it, he’s climbed into your lap, happily snoring away. Ames is potty-trained and kennel-trained. He has been non-destructive in his foster home and does not require kenneling when his foster parents are away. At night, he prefers sleeping in his kennel, where he settles in comfortably. Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
