Story
Boy oh boy did we take a BIG LEAP! We took 7 boy dogs from Stanislaus County Animal Services. They are part of 87 dogs seized from a hoarding case. These boys have spent their lives in filth and darkness. Many were living under the floor board. Most had to be shaved due to heavy matting. How most of these boys can be so sweet and loving has us STUMPED! They are a little shy but once they get to know you, they beg for love and attention. They will need a little patience as they learn to live the life of a pampered pooch! How do you spell CUTE? We spell it F-O-N-Z-I-E! Fonzie is a handsome 5-year-old, 12-pound, black w/some white, Shih Tzu Mix. He has a white chest and a white goatee. He weighed almost 14 pounds on intake: all matts and filth! He will regular professional grooming. He is a total lap dog and love bug. He wants to follow you wherever you go. He is very vocal and loves to talk to you. He also loves to rub against you like a cat. He will need leash training. He will need more house training, though he is doing well here at the sanctuary. He follows the dogs outside as a group with the command “go potty” and happily does his business. Can you give him the time he needs to adjust to a normal home live? He will delight you! He has been neutered, is microchipped and currently vaccinated. Are you ready for a new BEST FRIEND? Fonzie is ready for you! Story
Taylor, is a well rounded pet friend, whom is in need of a home where he is able to give companionship. Taylor will be 13 in DEC he was born 12/2011. He enjoys walks and relaxing. His temperament is quiet, calm and he is eager with excitement for games when some one arrives home. Our home is recently often empty due to our work schedules, frequent medical appointments and life threatening health issues that have been recently diagnosed. He will use a dog pad during the day or in the middle of the night to urinate, and will scratch at the door to be let out. He is fully groomed every three months or so to maintain his hair length, he does not shed and is fluffy during the cooler months. We are hoping to find him a loving, attentive companion that he is able to give happiness to. Please read his bio in its entirety before inquiring.

Story
Sparky came to us with a broken front leg. Due to the location of the fracture and the time it had been since his injury, repairing it via surgery would have been very difficult and possibly not successful.  Because of this, amputation was recommended...however the surgeon also mentioned just leaving it as-is since he was walking on it and it didn't seem to affect his mobility.  There is a good likelihood that he will develop arthritis at some point however.  So his adopters would need to be able to manage that if/when it happens. Here is what his fostermom has to say about this cutie: Sparky is a spunky, handsome, brown and white, estimated DOB 3/2023, 14-pound Shih Tzu who has the personality of a goofy teddy bear. He is a talkative guy and likes his opinions to be known. He has shown to be good with adults and children over 5. He gets along with other friendly dogs, but loves to pester the cats in his foster home. So a forever home without cats would suit him best. He’s doing great as far as potty training goes, but will need scheduled back yard potty breaks to get him into the routine in his new home. He came into the rescue with an injured left leg and it is possible he will need medical care in the future (all information will be given to potential adopters). Long walks are not really his thing, but he would love to stroll and sniff around his own fenced yard. Apartments would not be a good fit for him due to his talkative nature. ?
