Story
Meet Walter, a delightful 8-year-old Chocolate and white Shih Tzu / Lhasa mix, weighing in at a charming 15 lbs! This handsome and sweet boy is on the lookout for a cozy lap to call his own, ready to be your 24/7 companion. Walter will require regular professional grooming to keep him looking his best. Walter's journey to finding love has not been easy. Once a Christmas puppy, he was sadly turned into an outdoor dog when the novelty wore off, enduring years of neglect and matting. His eye became infected and remained untreated for far too long until he caught the attention of his devoted foster mom. Walter was surrendered to her, and with her care, he received the professional grooming and veterinary attention he desperately needed, including a neuter surgery and the removal of his eye. Fostering truly saves lives, and Walter is now ready to know nothing but love moving forward. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making him a fantastic addition to any household. Walter adores toys and absolutely loves being around people. In terms of potty training, he thrives on a routine, so regular trips outside every couple of hours during the day are essential. When left alone, he wears a male wrap without any fuss. Walter walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys car rides, especially when there's a Puppuccino involved! He’s an all-around happy guy who radiates joy and affection. Walter is neutered, microchipped, and ready to find a loving forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, deserving boy to spoil and cherish, Walter is the perfect match! Don’t miss the chance to give him the love he deserves. He is sure to bring love and joy into your home. We have a Facebook page and hope that you will “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561870361467 to see postings of our dogs. Story
Handsome Mr. Peabody is sure to warm your heart! He is a 1-year-old, 13-pound, black, Shih Tzu mix. He came to us as stray with mats in his coats and foxtails in his toes! His rough shape didn’t affect his personality. He is a lover boy that likes people of all ages. Can you teach this sweet boy how great life can be, when you are a pampered pooch? He could be fine in a single dog home with lots of human love and someone home with him. He is okay with other dogs but doesn’t really play with them yet. No Cats, he wants to chase them! He will require regular trips to the groomer. He needs encouragement to go out to potty but he is getting used to the routine here. He goes out with the command “go potty” and does his business. He enjoys his walks and walks well on leash. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Mr. Peabody is ready to love and be loved and will bring a lot of joy into your home! Story
Fuzzy is a sweet little pooch, thought to have a DOB around 6/2022 and weighs about 15#. We did his DNA and his top 3 breeds were 52% Shih Tzu, 22% Chi and 12% Poodle. He can be initially shy so we are looking for a patient home with no kids or kids over 12. He loves lounging and exploring outside, so a home with a yard would be ideal. Here is what Fuzzy's fostermom has to say about this sweetheart: Fuzzy is a young dog looking for a loving family who can appreciate him! Fuzzy comes with some qualities that make him an ideal pet for the right home: *Training & Adaptability:* - Crate trained and house trained (with supervision) - Comfortable using a dog door - Beginning to learn commands and wants to please - Self-entertaining with toys *Social Personality:* - Gets along well with small dogs - Initially shy with strangers but warms up - Becomes loving once he feels comfortable *Ideal Home Environment:* - Preferably a home with smaller dogs or as a solo pet. Unknown if he gets along with cats - Owners who can provide plenty toys and play time/walks - Patient family willing to help him build confidence - Home that understands his initial wariness of new people Fuzzy is more than just a pet - he's a loyal friend waiting to bring joy and companionship to the right family. His combination of playfulness, trainability, and affectionate nature makes him a wonderful potential addition to your home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Please contact Sheryl with OAKDALE TINY PAWS RESCUE, text+1 (209) 606-3640 or email at tinypawsoakdale@gmail.com, Andie’s being fostered in Stockton. Hello! My name is Andie! I’m a super loving and friendly little dude and I’m looking for my forever home! The best things about me are I’m super soft and fluffy, I love cuddles (my foster mom calls it paying my rent and my foster kid calls it paying my taxes). I’m leash trained and my foster mom is working on house training me. I would do amazing with a doggy door. I love people, and I get along with older kids (7+). I’m great with cats and eventually get along with other dogs if I have a slow introduction. I love walks, going camping, hiking and I’ve even been to a beach or two! I’m a good boy when I must take baths, and expect some zoomies and playtime right after! Because of my past situation I have a very anxious attachment style and will be happier at a place that isn’t too busy. I would do best with someone that has time to train me so I can be a happier more independent pup! I am an older dude so I have some vision and hearing problems but I respond well to clapping and snapping. All I need is the right person to give me as much love and affection as I deserve, and I will be the best boy for you! If you are interested in meeting this sweet little guy, please text or email Sheryl at the above contact information PRE-SCREENING, APPLICATION, VET REFERENCES & FENCED YARD REQUIRED. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! YOU WILL GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR NEW FURRY FAMILY MEMBER BY GIVING THEM LOVE AND TRAINING
