THE ADOPTION PROCESS MAY TAKE UPTO 2 WEEKS. . Gio is a 1 year old mixed breed dog weighing approximately 12 pounds. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is learning leash manners. Gio is working on housebreaking and crate training. He is going to need a owner that will commit to the time to housebreaking him and have patience. He was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter, where our rescue organization stepped in to give him a second chance. Currently, Gio is staying at a dog training doggy daycare, where he is learning how to walk on a leash for the first time. So far, he has shown himself to be very sweet and gets along with other dogs. We have received a lot of interest and applications for Gio. Our main goal is to find the right home for him that will commit to his training. Gio is fully vetted. He is neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworm, and has received his rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations. Additionally, he is on flea preventative. Hi! My name is KiKi and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of an operation to rescue over 80 small dogs in order to put a backyard breeder out of operation as we were not being very well taken care of. One of those rescues reached out to BCAA to see if they could help some of us and they said yes ... yeah! We were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to us and with some TLC and time, we are slowly coming out of our shells. I would love to find a quiet home, maybe with a friend or two to help me learn the ropes. My foster was told I was supposed to be a shihtzu mix but not sure what with; based on my size, the shihtzu might be correct but several folks say I have the head and coat of a King Charles Cavalier (they were also at the breeder's place). I weigh just a little over 10lbs and at around 2y ears old, I shouldn't get any bigger. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and even share a crate with a couple of my friends without any issues (we all eat side-by-side without any resource guarding). We have done well in our crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any of our bedding as long as we are able to get outside regularly. I have never had a leash on before & they do scare me so I will need a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business. Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a $20.00 donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption.
