Story
Rocco is an approx 10 year old Shih Tzu boy looking for his furever family!   This handsome boy Rocco is a quiet, gentle soul who loves nothing more than a soft bed and a peaceful nap - he will happily snooze the day away. He is incredibly well-mannered, making him the perfect calm company. He loves long walks and car rides too. He prefers all four paws on the ground when interacting.  He can be a bit sensitive when being picked up, so he needs a patient owner who goes at his pace.  He is dog friendly and living with other dogs in his foster home, but would do best in a home without small children.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and had a dental. If you're looking for a quiet, sweet, low-key buddy who will be your loyal shadow, he is your guy.He doesn't ask for much - just a warm bed, a quiet home, and someone to love him. https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2818953##

Story
Lenox aka Bubba is a 7yo 18lb Shih Tzu. He’s small dog, cat and kids 8+ friendly. He’s house and crate trained. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard along with going for harness leashed walks, but gets excited when he sees other dog so needs work on training if taking walks. He needs to have time to warm up and not have people right in his personal space. He needs to be allowed to come to you then can be a cuddly lap dog who also likes to play with squeaky toys. He loves having a person to himself and getting tons of belly rubs. Lenox foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, people respectful of his personal space when he wants it, no kids under 8yo around him since he doesn’t like his personal space invaded, a person to himself, along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lenox as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lenox is neutered, vaccinated, hw negative and microchipped. Currently in Rutledge, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Diamond’s a 3yo 13lb Shih Tzu. He’s dog and kid friendly. He’s house, pee pad and crate trained. He loves running around his fosters secure fenced in yard with another dog and likes going for a harness leashed walk at least once a day. He loves playing with toys with another dog, being with his people to get tons of belly rubs and give kisses. He’s smart, gentle, playful, and enjoys car rides. He can be a barker, chew on things so will need chew toys over other dog items to keep him busy. He also can be a digger so needs to be watched when in the yard. He could use some work on training some of these things, which being food and treat motivated could help with this. Diamond’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, a secure fenced in yard, another playful dog a harnessed leashed walk at least once a day, plenty of chew toys along with giving leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Story
Dallas is a 1.5yo 9lb Shih Tzu. He’s dog, cat and kid 10+ friendly. He is working on housebreaking and will need to be kept on a schedule & have consistency. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard and will need work on harness leashed walking. His foster Momma said: He is a sweet, loving little guy who wants nothing more than to be with his people. He’ll happily follow you from room to room and loves curling up beside you for cuddles. He’s food motivated and enjoys spending time outside, where he’ll occasionally get the cutest little zoomies. He can be timid in new situations and startles easily with unfamiliar people or sudden movements, but once he realizes he’s safe, his affectionate personality shines through. Dallas’s foster requires a calm home with a secure fenced in yard, people who are patient and understand he’s still learning to be housetrained, no kids under 1oyo, along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet.
