Story
See more adoptable puppies at h2erescue.org! Hi, my name is Veronica. I am a 10 week old spayed female Shih Tzu / Mini Poodle MIX. My mom is a Shih Tzu and my dad is a Mini Poodle. I am up to date on my shots and ready to go home. Please go to our personal website at, h2erescue.org and fill out an application under my profile "I'm Interested". Our adoption fee is $526. This is used to cover vet care, vaccinations, food etc. We are a rescue group, not a shelter and we foster these animals at our home. Since we are a rescue, we can not guarantee the size or the breed of the dog. After approval, we will meet you at our Adoption Center. We currently have two locations. Our primary address is 3616 Williams Lake Rd, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. We sometimes hold Adoption events at 6141 Stornoway Dr. South, Columbus Ohio 43230, like other rescues do at a pet store. At this time we are only able to do adoptions in our home base, 3616 Williams Lake Rd. New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Please Google the address first before you fill out the application, to make sure you can make the drive to us. Remember we show by appointment ONLY.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Corrina’s adoption donation is $450 and she is being fostered in Eastern Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Corrina requires a home with a companion dog or an owner who is home a lot, as well as a secure, physically fenced yard. Corrina came into rescue as a breeder release from a puppy mill. She has made a lot of progress in rescue and she loves to play. She really enjoys the company of other dogs and her people. Corinna is definitely not your typical mill girl and has quite a bit of energy, so an active household with a companion dog of similar size and energy is needed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  May 6, 2024, 10:53 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lulu's adoption donation is $450 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza vaccine, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea/tick prevention. Lulu has also had a dental cleaning. Lulu came into rescue as she was not doing well in the household situation she was in as the household was extremely active and seemed to stress Lulu out tremendously. She has made amazing progress in rescue and done well adjusting in her foster home. Lulu enjoys walks and does well with slower introductions to new friends on these walks. Once Lulu knows you are a friend, not a foe, she warms up very quickly.  Lulu definitely loves her people and always wants to know what you are doing, so she is along for the ride whether you are going to do the laundry or sitting on the couch.  Lulu does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule, but there will be a transition period in any new setting. She does best in a quieter home, so no children under the age of 12.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bailey's adoption donation is $450, and he is being fostered in the Central Ohio area.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  He has also had a dental cleaning with no extractions. Bailey came into rescue through no fault of his own when his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. Bailey was initially nervous, but has since made great progress and deserves to have a special home of his own. Bailey loves to be near his people, and generally is a laid back guy until meal times. He loves his food, but he's already lost a couple pounds, and might need to lose one or two more.  And, did we mention he likes to chase squirrels? He takes it personally when they wander into the backyard!  He walks on a leash (even sitting patiently for you to put on the harness and clip the leash) and will do business on a leash, pulling at times, but overall enjoys sniffing everything. He knows a few basic commands, but his big requirement is lap time during TV viewing and relaxing.  He will jump right up to be with you. He's done well on housetraining when kept on a schedule. Bailey would do well in a home where he'd get to walk and play regularly, and he could be an only dog, or part of a low-key pack.  He loves the outdoors, and is able to mostly politely watch the wildlife from inside. Because of his startle response, he'd do best in a home with no children. Story
Charlie is a SUPER SWEET “Teddy Bear “ breed (Shih Tzu/ Bischon pup! He just needs more time than I have to give him. I had puppy attraction without considering it would not work with my lifestyle. I am a single parent with weekend visits with my kids and the weekends that I don’t have my children. I’m busy with other work stuff. I work a lot of hours and poor Charlie is just home alone too much. We prefer that he be adopted with someone that has another dog as I think another canine would do wonders for him. . Adoption fee is to assure a good home. He was just neutered and is current on everything so it also will help me with expenses birthdate - August 2023
