2 years old. Petite size at 9 lbs. Birth date believed to be in Sept 2023. Alpha dog, smart, stubborn, high energy, escape artist, loving. She will snuggle with you and lay her head up on your neck or chest. Loves all kinds of toys. Very friendly to everyone. No known health issues. I got her in December 2024 & know very little about her first year other than her shot records. She does not have papers. I want to rehome her because I recently inherited an older dog with health issues who is also an Alpha female dog so there are occasional confrontations with them at times. It's mostly over food although they have separate bowls. This is the behavior issue I was referring to which is mostly the fault of my senior dog. But I don't want to attempt to rehome a senior dog with health issues because I promised I would keep and take care of her properly. Having 3 dogs is putting a financial strain on me because the senior eats a prescription diet ($$$), has frequent UTIs & all 3 get groomed.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   This sweet girl was on a 'stray hold, owner notified' at BARC and owner failed to claim her.  She sat in doggie jail twice as long as a non-chipped dog on the hope and expectation that the owner cared enough to go pick her up.  Sadly, they did not. So, we were able to take legal custody of her and get her the help she needed.  She has bi-lateral ear infections both ears.  Fighting both bacteria and yeast.  poor lamb. Her ruptured eye was removed and she received all her medical care, vaccines, spay, etc.... Willow Rose is an 8-year-old, 11.5-pound Shih Tzu with a personality just as beautiful as her name. Although she cannot see the world around her, she has mastered the art of being calm, gentle, and quietly present. Her favorite pastime is snoozing the day away or curling up right beside her person on the sofa while they work. Willow is blind, and that means she needs an adopter who understands that learning a new home’s layout will take time, maybe even months. Accidents will happen until she gets her bearings, and even then she may miss the mark on occasion. If you can be patient with her, she will reward you with endless quiet companionship. She gets along well with other dogs, doesn’t try to leap off furniture since she is smart enough to know her limits, and is as low-maintenance as they come. Willow isn’t perfect; she would prefer you keep the fancy rugs rolled up, and she is not a fan of grass, but she is perfect for someone who values peace, gentleness, and the unconditional love of a little dog who just wants to be by your side. Little Buddy was found on the streets with no chip or tags. He is a sweet boy that just wants some love and a soft comfy bed to nap it! He is about 12 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He is great with other dogs but doesn't really interact with them. He would be fine with or without other dogs. He would prefer a quiet home without a lot of activity. He is neutered, up to date on shots, hw negative, microchipped and just had dental with extractions. Adoption fee is:$150 Adoption fees are variable.
