Cassie has been in the family for 12 years. She was purchased for my husband as a companion dog. With our declining health, we are no longer to take care of her. Our children have pets of their own and are not in a position to take her on to their home. She is a sweet lady and still spry! Anyone would be blessed to have her part of their family. Candy has traveled lots of places within the USA she loves children and she is a lap dog . She is kennel trained since she was a babe . However,, with age she has to go to the bathroom at least three times a day. I have kept up with her shots every time she needed them. She dose not like other dogs but she deal with them. She wants to eat first thing when she wakes up, I feed her two times a day and she is on a raw diet because of her age and health. Candy is very laid back if she gets her treats and do not miss her feeding time because she will let you know, by knocking on your door or barking at you. My husband and I have been her only owners for 13 years we have enjoyed her but we have health issues that we cant take care of her like we use to, its a difficult with her at this time and that is why we are asking for someone to adopt her. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   BITE HISTORY NO CHILDRENRolly is a happy, playful young boy. He is coming out of his shell as he learns to trust. He is slowly starting to get along with other dogs, but much prefers to be one-on-one with his human. We have started him on pain management and he has become a much happier little guy, so his new forever home should continue this treatment. Rolly was 'confiscated' by BARC on 3/22.  BARC noted: 'Rolly was involved in a bite case on 3-21-23.  The victim, a juvenile, attempted to get in the kennel with Rolly.  The result was the victim was bitten on the face.  The bite is described as major and the victim went to the hospital for the bite to be cleaned, there is no other treatment documented. Rolly has been timid but friendly with the shelter staff.' It is our FIRM belief this family was negligent.  Not the dog, not the child.  THE PARENT! Because of his past, we believe that Rolly is best suited for a home without young kids. Bailey Bob is a 13 lb. young shitzu who was rescued from a high risk shelter in south Texas. He's approximately 2-3 years old. We don't know what happened to Bailey Bob before he came to CAMO, but he has suffered a neurological injury that has caused him to lose his vision and sometimes walk in circles. Despite everything, Bailey Bob is a pretty happy pup! Bailey Bob is 90% potty trained and LOVES playing in his backyard. He likes other good tempered-dogs and is cat friendly as well. Due to Bailey's vision loss, he can be reactive and often growls when he is nervous. Once he knows you, he does warm up and snuggle but he often gets disoriented. He has warmed up tremendously to his foster mom but still is very wary of his foster dad. Due to Bailey's condition, he will need a house with NO children and NO pool. He also will need a knowledge, patient owner who is willing to let Bailey Bob decompress and get accustomed to their house which may take a few days. A secure fenced yard is an absolute must! Bailey Bob's adoption fee is WAIVED TO THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
