Have you ever looked into a pair of eyes and felt like they were telling you a story? That’s Curly. This handsome 1.5-year-old Shih Tzu mix has a stunning tricolor coat, soulful eyes, and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. Curly’s journey hasn’t been the easiest. He was found wandering through a park with a couple of other dogs and was taken to the shelter. Thankfully, Animal Advocacy stepped in and gave him a second chance at finding the forever family he deserves. Curly is a champion cuddler who would happily spend his days curled up next to his favorite person. He loves other dogs, enjoys meeting new people, and quickly wins hearts wherever he goes. He does experience some separation anxiety, so he would do best with a family that can help him build confidence and continue teaching him that he’s safe and loved. One of Curly’s most endearing features is his adorable bark and howl, which he proudly uses to alert you to any potential “danger”—whether that’s a delivery driver, a squirrel, or a leaf blowing across the yard. Curly knows how to use a dog door but is still learning that it’s also the place to go when nature calls, so he’ll need some patience and consistency as he continues his potty-training journey. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion with personality, charm, and plenty of love to give, Curly may be the perfect addition to your family. All he needs now is someone to show him that home is forever. Curly has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Hiya! I’m Moe, and I’ve been looking for you. I thought I could find you on my own, so I took myself for a walk. Apparently, that’s against the rules! Some nice people picked me up and took me to the shelter, thinking you would find me there. Since you were busy getting ready for me, I came to live with my foster mom while you prepared your heart for your new best friend. I’m about 6 months old and, until recently, lived a bit of a nomadic life. Because of that, I’ll need a patient family to help me learn what it means to be a beloved family member. Leashes are still new to me, and they make me a little nervous, but my foster mom says I’ll soon discover they lead to adventures with my people. I’ve shown some signs of separation anxiety, but with the right family, consistency, and time, I think I’ll learn that I’m safe and loved, even when my people aren’t right beside me. I love having doggie friends and seem curious about cats. I’m also learning how to use the dog door, but I’m not quite a pro yet. A good routine and positive guidance will help me continue building my confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet young pup who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, I might be the one you’ve been waiting for.
