Meet Rowan — a three-year-old, spayed, seven-pound brindle Terrier/Shih Tzu mix with the cutest little underbite and soulful brown eyes you'll never forget.Rowan may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes the ultimate cuddle companion. This sweet girl lives for affection and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap soaking up love and attention.She's smart, food motivated, and has already made wonderful progress with basic commands, leash walking, and potty training. Rowan does have some resource guarding tendencies, so she'll thrive with an experienced adopter who can continue building her confidence and training.Rowan absolutely loves other small dogs and would do best in a home with a calm canine companion to help guide her and make her feel secure. She's also gentle and loving with respectful children. She does not do well with bigger dogs, and due to her high prey drive, should not be in a home with cats or other small animals.Her favorite things include burrowing under cozy blankets, squeaky toys, and bully sticks — which are the fastest way to win her heart forever.Rowan is looking for someone patient, loving, and devoted — a person who will help her feel safe and loved while letting her be the loyal little shadow she was born to be.Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete.All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Rowan's adoption fee is $200.
