Hello, my name is Higgins which has an Irish origin and means ‘Viking' or ‘sea-rover'. It may have been my adventurous spirit and curious nature that led to me being a stray at WCHS. I Shih-Tzu-Not, I am cheerful, sweet and absolutely adorable. I may only weigh a bit over 12 pounds, but I am a spunky lad who likes to stand on my own four paws. Sometimes I am a wee bit nervous when I meet new people, but in no time, we will be the best of friends. I do enjoy the company pf humans and am very loving and affectionate. I am friendly, soft, waggy and playful; I am a guy who likes to have a good time. I will not need hours and hours of exercise, but I do enjoy a nice walk to explore or some playtime in the yard with you; I feel it is important to have together-time each day. I am treat motivated and have discovered some awesome things called hot dogs; I feel very special when I get a tiny yummy tidbit. If you are looking for a happy and perky little guy, I may be perfect for you. Hello, I'm Harris, an 8-year-old Shi Tzu mix who has had some tough breaks in my life. I am looking for a patient loving home for the remainder of my life. Foster Mom says I'm a good boy with the cats. I just ignore them. I am Ok around other dogs as long as they aren't too in my face but wouldn't mind being the only dog. Foster Mom says no small children for me because I don't like being touched unexpectedly. Before I came to my foster home, I didn't know what a crate was all about. Now I'm doing much better because I know that I get fed in my crate. I am also good at going potty outside. Foster Mom says I've never had any obedience training. I am not even sure what that is, but she says it would be good for me. If you think I am a fit for you, apply to adopt me.Adoption fee: $350 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. Rita is a sweet, retired mama from a puppy mill who is looking for a quiet, loving home where her humans can teach her how to be a dog. She is a bit shy now, but with time and patience I believe she will learn to trust. She likes her crate and sleeps there each night. She hasn't had one accident in my home and scratches at my patio door to go outside. So far, I haven't heard her say a peep...that could change as she becomes more comfortable, but so far she's a dream! She enjoys roaming free in my fenced-in yard and comes right in when I call her name. She's dog friendly with every size dog I have...I don't know about cats, though.
