Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on January 9th and arrive on January 10th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 12/1/2025 Dog Name: Scuttle Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso Mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 16 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Poor Scuttle was surrendered as the holidays were coming and the family no longer wanted him. Unfortunately, most people get excited about having a puppy but do not commit to owning a dog. He is such a sweet boy. He is a playful pup who likes to run so fast! Scuttle is great with other dogs. We suggest that Scuttle goes to a home with older kids because he might be too high energy for some younger kids. He is young and full of life and love! He is a cutie who definitely will be your best friend!! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 6, 2025, 7:51 am

Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org Meet Beethoven Beethoven is a sweet 5-year-old Shih Tzu whose owner is heartbroken to rehome him but knows it’s the best thing for him. With a demanding schedule working and attending nursing school, she simply can’t give him the time and attention he deserves. Beethoven is ready for a home where he can be cherished, included, and loved the way every dog should be. Beethoven is a pretty chill guy overall. He isn’t overly demanding and enjoys spending his time doing whatever you’re doing—whether that’s relaxing at home, taking a stroll, or just hanging out nearby. He is crate trained, leash trained, and potty trained, making him an easy addition to just about any home. He gets along with everyone he meets and does well with other dogs, cats, and kids. Beethoven isn’t the playful type when it comes to other dogs; he prefers to quietly observe and keep to himself while the action unfolds around him. His gentle, easygoing personality makes him a great match for a calm household or someone looking for a low-maintenance companion. Beethoven is the kind of dog who simply wants to be near his people and enjoy life at a relaxed, comfortable pace. He’s affectionate, well-mannered, and ready for a home that can give him the love, time, and presence he’s been missing. Story
I bought Teddy for my boyfriend who has Alzheimer in June 2024. I thought he would benefit from the comfort and cuteness of a puppy and for the first year, everything was good. But now, because of his declining condition, he can no longer handle the energy a young dog brings. Teddy gets along with everyone and loves other dogs and children. He is super sweet and friendly and only barks for protection. The ideal family would have a stay at home, mom and children over the age of three. He loves to travel and loves the outdoors and is often off leash at dog parks, and other safe areas to run. He is very smart and a good listener, but has not had any professional training. He is housebroken and does go on potty pads if necessary. He has been a wonderful pet and I am very sad to have to rehome him, but it is for the best interest of not only my boyfriend but for Teddy too.

Story
Meet Buddy! This sweet little man is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix. Buddy is 13 pounds of pure happiness. He loves everyone & pretty much everything! Buddy is a professional cuddle bug. He was even a dream when I gave him a bath. He is crate trained. He would definitely benefit by having a fenced in yard. I think he would run if he got off the leash, so he will need someone who understands that & will keep him safe. He loves walks, but wants to be in control, so he will need a little help with leash training. Buddy is up to date on his vaccinations, preventatives & he is neutered. He’s ready & waiting for his forever home.Apply at Rescuegang.orgDATCP#483538
