FEBUARY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN and 10 other cats were dumped in the Home Depot parking lot in Hawthorne, California. Our trapper friend was notified and she started trapping them. She took her because she was emaciated. Eyes were sunk in and a bad URI. She had a litter somewhere and she was too sick to release back. Because she was in such bad shape, we think the kittens all passed. I'm hopeful that they were saved by a rescue. We helped the trapper with 4 cats. And will hopefully help her with any of the rest of the cats. We named them after the show BONES. The rescue mama was watching that show at the time. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN, a feisty Siamese mix from Hawthorne, California whose striking white coat is as bold and brilliant as her larger-than-life personality. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is the kind of cat who marches to the beat of her own pawsteps. She's got sass, class, and a touch of mystery—true to her namesake. With a mind as sharp as her claws during playtime, she keeps things interesting with her signature blend of charm and strong opinions. She’s playful, intelligent, and never one to turn down a good game of chase-the-feather or laser-pointer espionage. This confident lady knows what she likes—and she’s not afraid to let you know. Her preference? A quiet kingdom where she's the reigning queen. While she’s full of personality, she prefers not to share her domain with other cats. She’s a solo act, and honestly, she rocks it. Turkish Vans are known for their athleticism, playful spirit. She’s curious and clever, always eager to investigate new spaces or watch the world go by from a windowsill throne. Just be ready to give her a little space on her terms—she’s not one for constant snuggles. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN thrives in a calm environment with a patient and loving caregiver who appreciates her independent streak and can match her clever energy with enrichment and play. She’d be a great fit for someone who values personality and a touch of drama in their feline companion—because with DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN, life is anything but boring. Could your home be the mystery-filled adventure this bold beauty needs? If you're ready for a one-of-a-kind cat with a sharp mind and an even sharper sense of humor, DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN might just be your perfect match. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / SIAMESE MIX. She is about 3 years and 11 months old. She has lived with cats, but would do better by herself. She has never been around children or dogs. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS was found in a lady's back yard in San Jacinto, California. Her dogs kept chasing them out. She ended up catching him and his foster siblings (DANIEL HARRELSON, SERGEANT DONOVAN ROCKER, OFFICER VICTOR TAN and SERGEANT DAVID "DEACON" KAY). She put them in her garage and in a frantic realization called everywhere to have them saved. You see she discovered they hit puberty and were trying to get out, leaving nasty smells and fighting. Lucky for her all 5 of them were boys. They are with our rescue now. He has been living with another set of foster siblings more his age. His foster siblings are: CSI DR. GIL GRISSON, CSI SARA SIDLE and CSI DR RAY LANGSTON. These guys came from different area but were closer to his age. Meet COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS, a dignified Siamese gentleman from San Jacinto, California with striking blue eyes and a soft coat that’s a masterpiece of cream and chocolate tones. Despite his fancy name, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a humble soul who prefers a quiet, laid-back life with just the right amount of playful mischief sprinkled in. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a bit shy at first, but his heart is easily won over with the right approach—specifically, the rustle of a treat bag or the smell of a can of cat food. Those are the keys to this reserved fellow’s affections. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side emerges, and you’ll find him bouncing after toy springs with a mix of focus and feline enthusiasm that’s downright endearing. Though he isn’t one for long cuddle sessions, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS will graciously allow gentle pets before retreating to his personal space. He’s a fan of companionship on his own terms, giving just enough to remind you of his affection without overwhelming his independent streak. COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a friend to other cats and enjoys their company, making him a fantastic addition to a multi-cat household. He’s also impressively nonchalant around dogs, showing no signs of stress or worry in their presence. While he hasn’t had any experience with children, his calm demeanor suggests he’d adapt well to older, gentle kids who understand his boundaries. Siamese cats like COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS are known for their intelligence and social nature, and he brings his unique spin to these traits with a quiet charm that’s all his own. Whether he’s batting at springs, lounging nearby, or enjoying a treat-filled bonding moment, COMMANDER ROBERT "BOB" HICKS is a cat who brings a steady, comforting presence to his home. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. DEVIL DIAS, his 4 siblings (BANKURO - HAMLET - GATZ), and 4 older cat relatives were living in a tough area in Baldwin Park, California. These poor babies were living in someone's yard in the heat. The rescue mama happened to look on Facebook one day and saw the video of one of DEVIL DIAS's possible siblings being chased by a coyote, Needless to say, the rescue mama set course the next day to pick them all up. So DEVIL DIAS (named after the anime: ONE PIECE) has known the street life for a very short time. With all the tragedy that has happened to this boy and his family, he deserves to have a wonderful home. He has now been living a nice pampered life. Meet DEVIL DIAS – A Shy Survivor with a Heart of Gold DEVIL DIAS is not your ordinary cat. This beautiful, long-haired Siamese has lived through more challenges than most, but despite it all, his resilience shines through every day. This gentle soul has learned to trust, heal, and embrace the love he deserves. DEVIL DIAS was first found in Baldwin Park, running for his life as coyotes chased him. From the very beginning, his journey has been one of survival, but also of hope. Through all the trials he's faced, including serious health struggles, DEVIL DIAS has proven to be a fighter. Although his body bears the scars of his past, his spirit remains unbroken. He is a testament to the incredible strength of animals and the healing power of patience and love. Due to his difficult past, DEVIL DIAS has no teeth, but don’t let that fool you – he still enjoys his meals, especially his favorite wet food, which he devours with enthusiasm. His caregivers are dedicated to ensuring he gets the proper nutrition, along with the supplements he needs to stay healthy. With continued love and care, DEVIL DIAS will thrive and continue to grow stronger each day. Though he may be shy at first, especially around new people, DEVIL DIAS is incredibly resilient and has formed trusting bonds with those who respect his boundaries. He’s not one to demand attention, but when he's comfortable, he’ll gladly accept a gentle pet. His shy nature means he prefers the company of fellow cats, and a peaceful home with another feline friend might be the perfect setting for him. DEVIL DIAS may not be the type of cat who will jump into your lap immediately, but once you've earned his trust, you’ll experience the depth of his affection in his own quiet, dignified way. His story is one of triumph over adversity, and he deserves a family who understands the power of patience and the value of a second chance. If you’re looking for a unique companion who’s been through the ringer but still has so much love to give, DEVIL DIAS might just be the perfect fit for you. With time, he’ll show you how resilient he really is, and together, you can create a bond that’s unbreakable. Will you be the one to give him the forever home he so richly deserves? DEVIL DIAS is a DOMESTIC LONG-HAIR SIAMESE / SNOWSHOE MIX. He is 3 years and 9 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children (and we don't recommend him with small children). Dogs might be too scary because he was being chased by coyotes. DEVIL DIAS is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. MARCH 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS and his 3 brothers (SERGEANT JEFFREY " JACK " MUMFORD, SERGEANT STEVENS and SERGEANT BECKER) were found by the side of a freeway. Our trapper friend could not find a rescue. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT BECKER is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted. Meet DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS, a mysterious and handsome one-year-old Domestic Shorthair and Siamese Flame point mix from Torrance, California. His quiet curiosity is only outshone by his striking cream coat, accented with fiery orange points. This dashing feline might start off a little shy, but once he feels safe, he’s an absolute gem, ready to share his gentle, playful side with those who offer him a caring and loving environment. DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS, with his unique mix of Siamese elegance and domestic charm, is the ultimate feline sleuth. He’s got the inquisitive eyes of a detective, always observing his surroundings with keen interest. While new situations might make him a little skittish at first, he’s more of a silent observer than a high-strung cat. Give him some time, and you'll discover his love for play, especially with toys that stimulate his curious mind. Laser pointers and feather wands beware—John's got the swift paws of an experienced detective! This lovable guy adores other cats and would thrive in a home with feline companions to team up with. Whether it’s a game of hide-and-seek or a gentle grooming session, he’s always ready to bond with his fellow four-legged friends. While he’s never been around young children and seems cautious around dogs, his non-reactive nature suggests he might adjust well with proper introductions and a calm, patient approach. He’s spent a lot of his young life in a rescue environment but is longing for a true home, and now he’s ready for the next chapter of his journey. DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is looking for a pet parent who understands that trust is earned slowly but, once gained, COULD blossoms into a beautiful relationship. Are you the missing piece in his puzzle? Could your home be the one where this detective finally hangs up his hat and enjoys the comforts of a real, loving family? CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON was saved from a horrible hoarding case in Rialto, California. The lady was evicted and the owner sold the house. The new owner decided that his dogs would live outside and so basically told the feeder that she had to remove all the cats The rescue that was saving all the cats reached out for us to help. Meet CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON – A Sweet, Shy Siamese with a Heart Full of Love Introducing CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON, a gentle and affectionate Siamese long-haired cat who’s ready to start a new chapter in her life. As a former outdoor cat, CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON is still adjusting to the indoor life. She’s learning what it means to be safe and pampered, and with a patient adopter, she’ll continue to grow in confidence and trust. CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON enjoys spending time in quiet, cozy spots where she can observe her surroundings. Though she likes to hide and take things slow, she’s completely okay with being gently picked up and held, once she feels at ease with you. CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON would thrive in a calm and understanding household, where she can take her time to acclimate. She may do best with a friendly, laid-back cat buddy to help her feel more secure as she adjusts to indoor living. Having a feline friend could help her gain confidence and show her just how wonderful life can be as a cherished indoor companion. If you’re someone with patience and a loving heart, CAPTAIN ZOE ANDERSON is waiting for her forever home. FEBUARY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). If you’re ready to give this gentle, curious boy the home he needs, fill out the online application. Can you crack the case of where this sweet detective belongs? DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / SIAMEASE FLAMEPOINT MIX . He is about 2 years and 5 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs. DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. JANUARY 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). DAMEON and his 4 siblings (BAELON - VISERYS - AEMOND - AEGON) were turned in to the shelter as strays. But by their mannerisms and as healthy as they were, we believe they were kittens born to a domestic mama cat. These guys are the absolute sweetest kittens ever! Say hello to DAMEON, a delightful Abyssinian Tabby from Hemet, California known for his playful spirit, sweet demeanor, and, of course, his love for cuddles! DAMEON is a true charmer who not only loves his humans but also adores his fellow cat friends—he’s all about socializing and spending time with his feline pals. Whether he’s chasing a toy, curling up next to you for a cozy cuddle, or just following you around like a little shadow, DAMEON is sure to fill your home with warmth and joy. A little diva at heart, DAMEON knows exactly how to work his charm and will happily accept being pampered with attention. He’s a big fan of canned food and treats, so don’t be surprised if he lets you know when it’s time for a snack—his adorable “feed me” look is impossible to resist. But when it’s not snack time, DAMEON is all about affection, and he’ll happily climb into your lap or let you scoop him up for some extra love. One of DAMEON’s favorite pastimes is following his humans around the house, making sure you’re never far from his gaze. His playful, energetic nature means there’s never a dull moment when he’s around, and you can always count on him to bring some excitement and fun to your day. He thrives in a loving environment where he gets plenty of attention, and he’s more than happy to share his love with his fellow cats. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who’ll shower you with affection, treats, and maybe even a few diva-like demands, DAMEON might be the perfect fit for you! Do you think your home is ready for a loving, cuddly little shadow? Apply at workinwhiskers.com! DAMEON is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN-TABBY MIX. He is over 3 year and 6 months. He has lived with dogs and Guinea pigs. He is good with cats. He has never been around young children but has been with pre-teens. DAMEON is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. One was 8 weeks old. KOALA was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2021. She was young. Well fast forward to 1 year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. KOALA is the eight one to be ready for adoption. And still with us after a year. KOALA can be shy at first. She gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. She can get startled, but will come back and investigate. She gets very excited about her can food. He is a very good assistant and loves to help you do your chores (well she will chase the broom and mop). Meet KOALA, a young feline filled with a vibrant spirit and an independent streak. Her sweetness is as infectious as her playful antics, making every moment with her a joy. She's curious and smart, always on the hunt for a new adventure. Her goofy, gentle nature will have you chuckling, while her mellow demeanor ensures she's never too much to handle. She'll flop on her side to catch your attention, her tail curling in delight. KOALA is loyal and brave, her energy boundless. She's a cuddly companion, ready to offer comfort or join in playtime. This brave, energetic cat is waiting for a forever home where her unique personality can shine. Adopt KOALA and let her fill your life with laughter, love, and endless amusement. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. MIKITA is now healthy and ready for adoption. Meet MIKITA! This sweet, laid-back girl is a beautiful Abyssinian Tabby, rescued from a difficult hoarding situation in Lucerne Valley, California. While MIKITA can be a bit shy at first, it doesn’t take her long to get comfortable in her new surroundings. With a little time and patience, she’ll warm right up and start showing you just how loving and affectionate she truly is. MIKITA’s gentle and sweet nature makes her the perfect companion for someone looking for a quiet, affectionate pet. Although she might get startled now and then, she’s curious and will always come back to investigate. Her little grouchy face may seem a bit intimidating at first, but don’t be fooled—she’s a total love bug who’s ready to curl up in your lap and enjoy some quiet moments together. One of MIKITA’s favorite things in the world is can food. When it’s mealtime, you’ll see her excitement shine through, and her loud purr will let you know just how much she’s enjoying her meal. And that purr? It’s as loud as it is endearing! It’s hard not to smile when you hear it—it’s Mikita’s way of telling you how much she loves being around you. MIKITA is looking for her real Furever home, where she can finally feel safe and cherished for the rest of her life. She’s the kind of cat who loves her pets and has a special way of making you feel like the most important person in the room. Her beautiful, unique coat is just one of the many things that make her stand out—along with that adorably grouchy expression! If you’re looking for a sweet, easy-going companion who’ll fill your home with love and a very loud purr, MIKITA might just be the perfect fit.
