Story
I found Jaxx on Craigslist when we were in Los Angeles, CA in 2014. A lady was advertising that she found a cat in her garage that gave birth to 5 kittens, and that she wanted to give away the kittens. I took one of them, named him Jaxx, he was so pink when he was little and had grown to be a white snowy big cat with blue eyes. He is a good cat. He eats dry cat food, very indoor when we were in LA but we moved to Florida in 2024, and here Jaxx and my other cat Poly, love to be outside for a few hours everyday when the weather permits. We are moving out of the country and we cannot take them with us. We are so sad but it’s impossible to take them with us which is why we want to find them both a new home. The other cat is Poly, a tri-color Calico with short hair and very friendly. Poly is a few months older than Jaxx. A lady found her on the street in LA, took her to the vet and gave her to me, we split the vet payment 50-50.

Story
This is my baby. She is 11 years old. Unfortunately she is not always friendly. She does not like new people (will hiss and swat) and she is very temperamental. She will allow me to pick her up, but on her terms. She is a special cat, and will need someone experienced to work with her until she warms up to them. She does not have shots, simply because the stress of taking her to the vet. She is somewhat aggressive and it is difficult for her and the veterinarian. But I am happy to pay for her to get updated shots. She has always been an indoor cat. She’s vocal and still very playful. She often gets the zoomies in the middle of the night. She tolerates and is nice to my small dog, but I wouldn’t say she is his biggest fan. I’m in a difficult situation and would love to find her a caring home that can accommodate her.

Avalanche is a very playful, curious and loving cat. He loves playing, and when he trusts you he loves cuddling. I’m putting him up for adoption because i’m a college student whose plate is only getting bigger and i want to make sure despite of me, he still gets the proper love and care he deserves. Avalanche is 1 years old.

Story
Elsa was found in my back yard- dirty and skin and bones. I took her in not knowing her. However, within a shaper time I realized she was pregnant. We are keeping one of the kittens for my youngest daughter but I can’t take care of her and the other babies. It’s too much financially and emotionally for the life I live. She is absolutely the sweetest thing. She does not get into mischief. She is very calm and smart. When she runs out of water or food, she lets me know. She has even actually peed in the sink when her cat litter needed to be changed. I know that’s a bit weird but just to show how smart she is. She didn’t go on any carpet. She went in the sink and then walked me to her litter and showed me it was full. It is sad that Siamese cats are pretty smart. I really hate parting with her as I did form a bond after I rescued her, but it is just too much to keep up with them all. I will miss her, but she needs to go to a good home that will love her.

Story
Blu is a 4-year-old Siamese mix with striking looks, a big personality, and a heart that's just waiting for the right person to discover it. When he's ready for affection, he will happily come over for pets, kisses, and companionship. He's also very food motivated and becomes quite talkative when he sees that his bowl is about to be filled. Mealtime is a great way to strengthen your bond with him. Blu is FIV-positive, but don't let that scare you. With appropriate veterinary care, FIV-positive cats make wonderful companions, and they can live for years alongside FIV-negative cats. Blu is currently on special wet food (which he loves) and one medication (which he devours in a pill pocket). Blu has a special talent, possibly from living with a dog in his previous life. When he's told to "sit," he does it! If you're looking for a handsome cat with a unique personality and lots of love to share, Blu could be your perfect match. Our adoption process involves a foster (trial) period and home visits, so we're looking for potential adopters in Bradenton or Sarasota (Florida). An adoption application can be found on our website (www.hpcanimalrescue.org).
