Blu is a 4-year-old Siamese mix with striking looks, a big personality, and a heart that's just waiting for the right person to discover it. When he's ready for affection, he will happily come over for pets, kisses, and companionship. He's also very food motivated and becomes quite talkative when he sees that his bowl is about to be filled. Mealtime is a great way to strengthen your bond with him. Blu is FIV-positive, but don't let that scare you. With appropriate veterinary care, FIV-positive cats make wonderful companions, and they can live for years alongside FIV-negative cats. Blu is currently on special wet food (which he loves) and one medication (which he devours in a pill pocket). Blu has a special talent, possibly from living with a dog in his previous life. When he's told to "sit," he does it! If you're looking for a handsome cat with a unique personality and lots of love to share, Blu could be your perfect match. Our adoption process involves a foster (trial) period and home visits, so we're looking for potential adopters in Bradenton or Sarasota (Florida). All Save Our Strays Inc cats have been sterilized, given one distemper vaccine, a rabies vaccine, microchip, and have been tested for FeLV if under 6 months of age and for both FeLV/FIV if older. A contract must be completed prior to any adoption after approval of the adopter by one of our adoption volunteers. There is a screening process so merely wanting to adopt doesn't make someone eligible to adopt. Adoptions are approved at the discretion of the screeners. We have a special trio that we are now accepting adoption applications for! Meet Lil’ Kim, Queen Latifah, and Biggie Smalls! This crew has had their first FVRCP vaccine and they have been dewormed. We are waiting on vet ability to get their spays/neuter and microchipping done. We anticipate their appointments will be mid-July. These babies are available for Meet & Greets to approved adopters in Port Charlotte, FL. Preference will be given to adopters interested in adopting two or all three siblings together.
