Please complete our online Adoption Application (https://www.saveourstraysinc.com/adopt/adoption-application/). An application is required to move forward with any adoption. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE! All Save Our Strays Inc cats have been sterilized, given one distemper vaccine, a rabies vaccine, microchip, and have been tested for FeLV if under 6 months of age and for both FeLV/FIV if older. A contract must be completed prior to any adoption after approval of the adopter by one of our adoption volunteers. There is a screening process so merely wanting to adopt doesn't make someone eligible to adopt. Adoptions are approved at the discretion of the screeners. Please note cats come in and out of foster homes so seeing a cat on this site does not guarantee it will be available when you contact us. Also we do not adopt on a first come first serve basis. The present adoption fee is $150.00 (please note this amount may change without notification). Renters will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. Placements are made based on the needs of each cat. ##2667501##

Story
My niece has an estate sale business and she got Lucy and her very tiny brother Linus at a house. Linus had failure to thrive and did not make it. Lucy was raised by dogs and she does the whole sniff the behind thing, which the other cats hate and she is not really the greatest around the newer dog, but she does get along with the dogs who were around her as a kitten, so maybe dogs, but probably not cats although she does watch them on TV. She’s very vocal and complains about her (obviously) starving to death between meals. She’s a scratcher, so you’ll needs scratching posts or thrift furniture, ngl. She’s also been known to lose her entire brain and run up the screen on the porch if there’s a lizard involved, so, fair warning. And, of course, Siamese, so she has her own ideas and let’s you know if you’re not taking her complaints seriously.

Story
I’ve been fostering two bonded, approximately one-year-old male cats for the past 5 months, and it’s time to find their next loving stop on the journey to becoming fully-socialized house cats. Meet 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 & 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 — affectionately nicknamed 𝐆𝐢𝐧 & 𝐏𝐨 by foster mom and dad. 💛 These boys started out very shy and semi-feral, but they have come so far. They’re gentle, never aggressive, and have slowly learned to trust us. They’re still nervous around people, but with time, patience, and a calm home, they’ll continue to blossom. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝: A new foster or adoptive family who understands that progress takes time and celebrates small victories. Someone who can offer a quiet environment, patience, and lots of love as the boys continue to build confidence. They are bonded and will stay together. If you’ve ever thought about fostering or adopting shy cats and would love the reward of helping them grow, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 to set up a meet & greet. You might be the person who helps them fully bloom.
