Story
Bonfire can be a little shy around people she doesn’t know, but once she gets to know you she is an absolute sweetheart! Loves to snuggle in your lap during the day and sleep with you at night. Loves to play with toys and gets along with other cats and dogs. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. It can take up to 24 hours to respond to your application and an additional 1-2 business days to have your application approved. Not all applications will be approved. Applications that are incomplete will not be approved. Please include all veterinary information, as we will be contacting your veterinarian. If you have never had a pet before and thus do not have an established vet either in the area or in an area you previously lived in, we recommend adopting from your local Animal Services. Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, monthly flea medication while in our rescue, any medications while in our rescue, an FIV/FeLV test, and the unconditional love of your new family member. Our rescue does not continue to pay for flea medication, vaccinations, deworming, or any other medications after the animal is adopted. All costs and fees accrued after adoption are the responsibility of the new family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This extremely handsome boy is very spunky and playful. He loves to be brushed, petted and sit in the cat tree and watch squirrels. He is not a fan of his foster moms cats so a slow introduction to any family cats would be recommended. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. As a non-profit, we charge a nominal fee for all adoptions. In exchange for your adoption fee, all animals:  • Are spayed and neutered  • Are fully vaccinated based on age/weight at the time of adoption   • Have received a medical exam   • Are micro chipped   • All dogs are tested for heart worms  • All cats are tested at the time of entry for FIV and FeLV and will be specified if negative or positive in the medical as well as the description.  (Please note that FIV and FeLV testing at the time of entry do not guarantee the cats will be free of the disease.) Story
Maggie’s previous owners were an older couple that passed away, the other family members were unable to care for her. We have been taking care of her for 3 years now but as our family is growing Maggie would be happier being an only cat in an only pet household. She is a sweet cat, loves to nap with you and lay in a sunspot. She knows how to use a litter box. She’s very pretty and we’ve been told she could be a Siamese or horseshoe mix.
