Story
Winter is coming! And by winter, we mean this cat named Snowy! She is a shy girl that enjoys attention. She would prefer a calm home where she can bask in your love and lounge the day away. Snowy was originally found as a stray cat so we don't know anything about her past, but her future does look bright! Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to adopt? Adoptions are first-come, first-served. If you're ready now, we recommend calling or emailing. You can secure this pet today, including adopting sight unseen. Call (413) 781-4000 x1 or email springfield@dakinhumane.org. We respond within 24 hours. You can also visit cats housed at the shelter: Tue–Sat, 12:30–3:00 PM. Cats in foster care aren't available for in-person meets. Adoptions are completed over the phone. A $25 non-refundable hold can be placed for 24 hours (not available Saturdays or during adoption events).

Story
Meet Dusty 🌫️Dusty is a beautiful 2-year-old Siamese currently living in a loving foster home. Though she has a bit of a medical history, she is doing well with daily medication to prevent seizures of unknown origin. Despite this, Dusty is still young at heart and has a playful, curious personality. She enjoys batting around toys and exploring her surroundings, always ready for her next little adventure. Dusty also appreciates the company of other respectful cats; she may take a moment to observe before joining in, but she generally does well with calm, cat-savvy friends. This sweet girl enjoys gentle attention and likes being petted — especially when she’s in the mood — before she’s off again to see what’s happening around her. Dusty would do best in a patient, understanding home that is comfortable managing her medication and can appreciate her independent yet affectionate nature. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Select cats can be fostered instead! Apply on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/

Story
Meet Lovell — a bright-eyed little explorer with a heart full of quiet charm and just the right touch of affection. Lovell is about 2 ½ years old, and he’s reached that perfect stage in life where he’s past the wild kitten chaos but still full of curiosity, personality, and playful spirit. The first thing you’ll notice about him is those big, beautiful blue eyes—they’re the kind that stop you in your tracks. They’re expressive, soulful, and always taking in the world around him. Pair that with his soft, adorable little coat, and you’ve got a cat who is truly hard to forget. Lovell is the kind of cat who enjoys life on his own terms—in the best way. He’s independent and confident, happily exploring new rooms, sniffing out every corner, and making himself at home wherever he goes. New environments don’t faze him much; he’s naturally curious and enjoys figuring things out at his own pace. Watching him investigate his surroundings is part of his charm—he’s thoughtful, observant, and just a little bit mischievous in that endearing way cats can be. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/cBfr2i0JyZI?si=NHKg6Qd_G46kri73 But while Lovell values his independence, he also has a very sweet and affectionate side. He enjoys pets and attention, and when he’s in the mood (which is often), he’ll happily soak up your affection. He’s not overly demanding, but he makes it known when he wants love—and it’s always a special moment when he does. He strikes that wonderful balance between being a companion and giving you space, making him a great fit for someone who appreciates a cat with both personality and independence. One of Lovell’s most charming features is his adorable little meow. He’s a talker, and he isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts with you. Whether he’s greeting you, asking for a bit of attention, or simply commenting on his day, his voice is soft, sweet, and completely irresistible. It adds so much character to him and makes interacting with him feel like a real conversation. Lovell is, at his core, just a really good cat. He’s easygoing, adaptable, and full of quiet personality. He doesn’t need constant attention to thrive, but he absolutely enjoys being part of your world. He would do wonderfully in a home where he can explore, relax, and build a bond at his own pace—someone who understands that the best relationships with cats are built on trust and mutual respect. If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts curious explorer and affectionate friend, Lovell might just be your perfect match. With his striking blue eyes, gentle nature, and lovable personality, he’s ready to find a home where he can truly belong. Come meet Lovell—you’ll understand why he’s so special the moment he looks at you. Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69f21c8f54924247ec002ad5 Questions? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.  We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below!  https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/  https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/  https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport. Story
Okay, first things first... Buck's eyes are absolutely ridiculous. Like seriously, they don't even look real. They're this insanely bright blue-green color that almost glows, and when the sunlight hits them? Forget it. They're so pretty it's honestly distracting. You catch yourself staring at them and then all of a sudden he's looking back at you with his sweet little face and you're completely done for. Watch his video and just wait until you see those eyes in action: https://youtu.be/kEA6yl0sR-g?si=Z7dxA-Gj5PKGoD7K Buck has that awesome mix of confidence and sweetness that's hard not to love. He's curious about everything, brave enough to check out new places, and always ready to see what's around the next corner. He's basically a tiny little explorer. New room? He's checking it out. Weird noise? Better investigate. New toy? Obviously it needs a full inspection. He's also a ton of fun. Toys are absolutely his thing and he's always down for a game. Whether he's chasing, pouncing, batting toys across the room, or entertaining himself, he knows how to have a good time. One minute he's flying around the room like a tiny maniac and the next he's flopped over wondering why everyone isn't admiring how cute he is. One of our favorite things about Buck though is just how sweet he is. Sometimes kittens come with a little extra spice. Buck skipped that part. He genuinely likes people, enjoys affection, and is more than happy to stop what he's doing for some pets before heading back to his very important kitten business. He's just an easy little guy to be around. Honestly, he's kind of the total package. Cute? Check. Sweet? Check. Playful? Check. Brave? Check. Gorgeous eyes that will probably be the first thing everyone comments on? Absolutely. If you've been waiting for that kitten that makes you smile every time you look at him, Buck might just be your guy. Just don't blame us when you realize you've spent half the day staring into those ridiculously beautiful eyes instead of getting anything done. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
