Story
Meet Meladie! She loves being pet, and once she is comfortable with you she may stretch out on your chest! She is a huge cuddle bug, and will snuggle with you under your blanket to try to steal all your warmth! She isn't a big fan of sharing the covers, but her cuteness makes up for it! She has lived with another cat, dogs, and kids in the past, so with a slow introduction she would likely do well with a big family in her next home. She would appreciate some time and patience to allow her to settle in, but once she is comfortable her true personality shines! Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Story
Beautiful flame point Siamese 2-1/2 years old. Takes time to warm up but is affectionate once she settles in. Very sweet but timid at first. Would do well with a quiet home that can give her attention. No other animals, no young children. She needs a home with no perfumes, dust free environment, no smokers. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Select cats can be fostered instead! Apply on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/

Story
Meet Dusty 🌫️Dusty is a beautiful 2-year-old Siamese currently living in a loving foster home. Though she has a bit of a medical history, she is doing well with twice-daily medication to prevent seizures of unknown origin. She's quite smart and may hide when it's time for her meds, but takes it easily once her hiding spot is discovered.Despite this, Dusty is still young at heart and has a playful, curious personality. She enjoys batting around toys and exploring her surroundings, always ready for her next little adventure. Dusty also appreciates the company of other respectful cats; she may take a moment to observe before joining in, but she generally does well with calm, cat-savvy friends. This sweet girl enjoys gentle attention and likes being held and petted — especially when she’s in the mood — before she’s off again to see what’s happening around her. Dusty would do best in a patient, understanding home that is comfortable managing her medication and can appreciate her independent yet affectionate nature. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Story
Are you searching for a companion who brings a sense of serenity rather than a whirlwind of chaos? Meet Bria, the professional lounger who proves that the best things in life are calm, cool, and collected. Before you fall head over heels for those blue eyes, watch her video to see just how peaceful and sweet this girl truly is! https://youtu.be/nOq5lmxF4OQ While it's always a bit of a "rescue riddle" to name a breed, we’re guessing Bria is a gorgeous Snowshoe mix. She’s got the whole package: the creamy coat, the fancy white socks, and those stunning blue eyes that seem to look right into your soul. What makes her a true one of a kind girl is her unique tortie-point coloring especially that darling dark smudge on her nose that makes her look like she’s been playing in a box of cocoa! Bria is the definition of low-maintenance; she’s a graceful observer who prefers window shopping over cardio. She’ll spend hours happily watching birds from her favorite sunny spot, and you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing your curtains are safe she’s much too sophisticated for any of those climbing shenanigans. If you’re ready to trade the stress of the day for a lifetime of quiet companionship, head over to our website and submit an application to bring Bria home today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69e7d40ea6e58b5e9d028c84 Questions? You will get to follow along on their journey through a private Facebook Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick-up location to you! The adoption fee is $800.00 and includes all vetting: FVRCP vaccines (minimum of 2 but could be more depending on age and time in the program), FeLV vaccines, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, combo tested, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a health certificate deeming the kitty healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Lovell — a bright-eyed little explorer with a heart full of quiet charm and just the right touch of affection. Lovell is about 2 ½ years old, and he’s reached that perfect stage in life where he’s past the wild kitten chaos but still full of curiosity, personality, and playful spirit. The first thing you’ll notice about him is those big, beautiful blue eyes—they’re the kind that stop you in your tracks. They’re expressive, soulful, and always taking in the world around him. Pair that with his soft, adorable little coat, and you’ve got a cat who is truly hard to forget. Lovell is the kind of cat who enjoys life on his own terms—in the best way. He’s independent and confident, happily exploring new rooms, sniffing out every corner, and making himself at home wherever he goes. New environments don’t faze him much; he’s naturally curious and enjoys figuring things out at his own pace. Watching him investigate his surroundings is part of his charm—he’s thoughtful, observant, and just a little bit mischievous in that endearing way cats can be. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/cBfr2i0JyZI?si=NHKg6Qd_G46kri73 But while Lovell values his independence, he also has a very sweet and affectionate side. He enjoys pets and attention, and when he’s in the mood (which is often), he’ll happily soak up your affection. He’s not overly demanding, but he makes it known when he wants love—and it’s always a special moment when he does. He strikes that wonderful balance between being a companion and giving you space, making him a great fit for someone who appreciates a cat with both personality and independence. One of Lovell’s most charming features is his adorable little meow. He’s a talker, and he isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts with you. Whether he’s greeting you, asking for a bit of attention, or simply commenting on his day, his voice is soft, sweet, and completely irresistible. It adds so much character to him and makes interacting with him feel like a real conversation. Lovell is, at his core, just a really good cat. He’s easygoing, adaptable, and full of quiet personality. He doesn’t need constant attention to thrive, but he absolutely enjoys being part of your world. He would do wonderfully in a home where he can explore, relax, and build a bond at his own pace—someone who understands that the best relationships with cats are built on trust and mutual respect. If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts curious explorer and affectionate friend, Lovell might just be your perfect match. With his striking blue eyes, gentle nature, and lovable personality, he’s ready to find a home where he can truly belong. Come meet Lovell—you’ll understand why he’s so special the moment he looks at you. Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69f21c8f54924247ec002ad5 Questions? Lunita’s cute personality and sweet nature make her easy to fall in love with.
