Dow Jones is one hell of a cat. The lucky family that gets to adopt him will be met with an incredibly loyal, gentle, affectionate, and playful cat that just loves to be in your company. He sleeps at the foot of his fosters bed and gets SO excited when they get home and follows them from room to room.  Besides his humans, his favorite thing in the entire world is his Ripple Rug. It's his comfort place and his play space.  Dow Jones was found on the side of the road, injured and emaciated. With the help of his amazing vet team he fought his way back from the brink of death and had a new lease on life. Little did we know that would just be the beginning of DJ's story. Once he was decompressing in his foster home, it became apparent that he had a lower airway condition, resulting in him coughing and getting congested. After a few hospital stays, DJ was diagnosed with Feline Asthma. It is currently controlled by an inhaler that he takes like a perfect angel 2x a day, and occasionally some oral meds when needed. He knows his routine, and goes to his Ripple Rug when it's time for his inhaler. He takes all of this in his stride because it is so clear that he is so happy to be alive. He absolutely LOVES churu treats and does not care if they come with meds in them.  He's be happy with another cat in the home, or as your one and only! Dow Jones is approximately 4yrs old, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV, and positive for FIV. I love Hans so much. It brings tears to my eyes to write this. He is such a sweet loving angel, all he wants is to purr on my lap and cuddle his brother Pluto. Hans has some mysterious ongoing hotspot issue that I am no longer able to spend time figuring out, it’s preventing me from traveling and it’s too much of a toll on me after three years of spending all of my time trying to figure it out. He licks himself until he bleeds and he is always itching and trying to reach the lesion. He has been wearing one or two e-collars 24/7 for over 3 years at this point. I have him on immunotherapy shots. Animax cream. I’ve tried special diets. Custom onesies. Gabapentin. I am now convinced he just needs to be with someone who is available to be with him all the time and give him loving all day. I have to work and leave the country a lot so I am sadly not that person. I hope he finds the most loving home. Oh gosh I’m crying now. I cuddle him every night. He is such a sweet baby. It hurts my heart!

Funny Face was being fed by a SARA volunteer when she noticed he was injured. He was taken the to vet for treatment, shots and neuter. Now he's looking for a home. 4 years old large quiet guy. I acquired Simon through my previous job, where a client was unable to continue caring for him. He is about one year old and is still learning to fully trust people and new environments. In a new home, I am looking for someone who can offer a great deal of patience, plenty of love (and treats), and ideally another cat to serve as a companion. I would describe Simon as skittish and shy but with time and gentle care, he has the potential to continue making positive progress.
