Story
Meet Leonardo DiCatrio! Leo can usually be found curled up with his sister Tuna or wrestling with his brother Catrick, really a go with the flow kind of guy. He’s a sweet little dude, quiet and observant but also playful and curious. He’s learning he likes to be pet and is getting more social by the day. Leonardo DiCatrio is being fostered in Brooklyn, NY and his adoption fee is $225. "Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization. Leonardo DiCatrio's adoption fee is $225; to adopt a pair of kittens, the combined adoption fee is $375. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."

Story
Dow Jones is one hell of a cat. The lucky family that gets to adopt him will be met with an incredibly loyal, gentle, affectionate, and playful cat that just loves to be in your company. He sleeps at the foot of his fosters bed and gets SO excited when they get home and follows them from room to room.  Besides his humans, his favorite thing in the entire world is his Ripple Rug. It's his comfort place and his play space.  Dow Jones was found on the side of the road, injured and emaciated. With the help of his amazing vet team he fought his way back from the brink of death and had a new lease on life. Little did we know that would just be the beginning of DJ's story. Once he was decompressing in his foster home, it became apparent that he had a lower airway condition, resulting in him coughing and getting congested. After a few hospital stays, DJ was diagnosed with Feline Asthma. It is currently controlled by an inhaler that he takes like a perfect angel 2x a day, and occasionally some oral meds when needed. He knows his routine, and goes to his Ripple Rug when it's time for his inhaler. He takes all of this in his stride because it is so clear that he is so happy to be alive. He absolutely LOVES churu treats and does not care if they come with meds in them.  He's be happy with another cat in the home, or as your one and only! Dow Jones is approximately 4yrs old, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV, and positive for FIV. If you’re interested in this amazing boy, fill out an application at www.brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms and designate Dana as the rescuer. August 8, 2026, 3:30 pm

Story
Meet Leo! This handsome, friendly 3-year-old Flame Point Siamese mix is a super-sweet, gentle soul who is everything you could want in a cuddly companion! He’s incredibly affectionate, loves snuggling, happily makes biscuits, and has a calm, easygoing personality. He also gets along wonderfully with other cats and is currently best buddies with another cat in his foster home. Leo has diabetes, but don’t let that scare you away—his diabetes is well-managed, and caring for him is much easier than most people imagine! His routine is simple: * Insulin injections twice a day, given after he eats. * He eats Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets DM Dietetic Management wet cat food before each insulin dose. * During the rest of the day, when he’s hungry, he enjoys Fancy Feast Classic Pâté, a veterinarian-recommended non-prescription option for diabetic cats. Leo is the perfect patient. He takes his insulin like an absolute champion—he doesn’t flinch, react, hiss, or bite. He sits calmly for his injections, making his daily care quick and stress-free. His insulin is also very affordable, with each bottle typically lasting up to 3 months. Beyond his daily routine, he simply needs routine blood work and checkups as recommended by your vet to keep his diabetes well controlled. This loving gentleman is proof that diabetic cats can live happy, fulfilling, normal lives. He’s healthy, thriving, and ready to bring so much love to the lucky family that gives him a chance. Leo is about 3 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. As a special breed, his adoption fee is $300. If you would like to schedule a meet & greet, please go to our application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/. Make sure you navigate to Leo, then identify Claire as the RESCUER and fill out the form! Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel. Every dime goes to saving the next homeless sweetheart.
