Story
Meet Pippa 💕 TOO LONG, DIDN’T READ - SUMMARY: * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Our rescue is located in Houston, TX, and we transport our babies to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and locations along those routes. Transport cost is included in the adoption fee. * Adoption fee (1-1.5 yr, special breed) is $450 --- Pippa is a stunning young Siamese mama, only about 8 months old, with the gentlest heart you could imagine. After surviving life on the streets, she’s finally discovering what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for — and watching her blossom has been something truly special. Despite being just a kitten herself, Pippa has been an incredible mother to her babies, Piper and Puck, and even took in a tiny orphan kitten named Paisley as her own. She’s nurturing, patient, and endlessly sweet with every kitten she meets. Pippa absolutely adores people. She loves being near her humans, soaking up pets and attention whenever she can get them. She’s delightfully vocal in the classic Siamese way: chatty and expressive without ever being too loud or demanding. At mealtime, her gratitude still shines through; every evening she devours her wet food like it’s the greatest gift in the world. She’s what I would consider an “expensive dinner date”!! Now that she’s settled into foster care, Pippa is finally getting the chance to just be a kitten. After a few weeks of feeling safe indoors, she has started learning how to play, and it’s impossible not to smile watching her discover toys and silliness for the first time. Pippa prefers all four paws safely on the ground, so being held still makes her a little nervous, but she loves cuddling beside her people and staying close. With patience and love, her confidence continues to grow every day. Pippa is a gentle, loving soul who deserves a home where she’ll never have to worry again — just soft beds, full bowls, kind hands, and people to adore her forever. --- Pippa is a social girl and would do best if adopted with one of her kittens, foster friends, or to a home with patient, playful resident cats at home. Information on why adopting two kittens together is best for their short- and long-term health and behavior can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens --- Pippa is ~1 year old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy... all she needs now is the perfect home! The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Pippa, her kittens, and her foster friends are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

 --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head. We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old. Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body. After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home. Despite his age, he is very playful and active. He loves to be around people and loves to play with his toys. Cuddling is one of his favorite things. Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats! He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home! Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved every day and all day. He does NOT mark. Azul is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. PLEASE READ ABOUT AZUL: Azul is a sweet, gentle soul who has recently tested positive for FIV. This means he needs an indoor-only home where he can be pampered and live a long, healthy life. FIV-positive cats are often the most affectionate! Azul is a total lovebug who is looking for a cozy spot to nap and a family to love. Don't let FIV scare you — it's just a label, not a limitation! He is a very healthy boy that you would not even know had FIV if not for the test. Most cats don’t show symptoms! Please consider reading some facts about FIV and let us know if you would still like to be considered for his adoption. Azul is ready to bring joy to your home. We look forward to hearing back from you. Here are some facts and information to help you learn about FIV: FIV is Not a Death Sentence: FIV is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat's immune system, not a death sentence. Many FIV+ cats live long, normal lives (10-15+ years) and never show symptoms. Perfectly Safe for Families: FIV is not transmissible to humans, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Debunking Myths About Transmission of FIV: Casual Contact is Safe: Contrary to popular belief, FIV is not spread through litter boxes, water bowls, or grooming. Mainly Spreads Through Fighting: The virus is primarily passed through deep, penetrating bite wounds, usually among unneutered, aggressive strays. Safe to Live with Negative Cats: In a stable, non-aggressive home, FIV+ cats can live peacefully with FIV-negative cats. https://www.awlnsw.com.au/find-out-more-about-adopting-an-fiv-cat/ https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/fiv-cats-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-faqs Prior to adopting him, he will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily.
