Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head. We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old. Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body. After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home. Despite his age, he is very playful and active. We do not recommend very young children with him as he can play a little bit rough at times. Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats! He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home! Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved on everyday and all day. He does NOT mark. Azul will be neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, Enfield, New Haven and Dayville, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Gizmo is grrrreat! Exotic love bug!'s Story Winter is here in NY so we need to get our fosters OUT and into homes here! Our bells and beaus are excited and ready to love love love you! So many amazing cuddly happy friendly and just awesome adults and babies! Lets chat about them... Penny and Panda - these 2 barely 6m olds were dropped off to our shelter partner after the owner moved. They are beyond sweet. Like to be snuggled?! Sure! Biscuit Makers?!! Non stop! Purr masters!?? Of course! They are so sweet and delicious we have already ear marked as possible therapy cats. Can be adopted together or separate for magic! Gizmo (Siamese) and Sugar (Torbie) - these SUPER sweet 5 yr olds are just happy chonky supermodels who are just both living snuggle buddies with each other and all people!. They are both def up there as a possible therapy cats as they are gentle and love all people of all sizes. Hesitant around some dogs but not dog haters - fine with cats. A home with dogs might be an issue though so we are looking for a non dog home at this time. Both can't wait to be your bff for life! Darling - Another of our young therapy sweet gals, at 3-4yrs old, she is super sweet super dorky and one of our ultimate snuggle bugs. She was a great momma to 3 of cutest tots too but is now ready to live as an empty nester lol! She is very happy in your arms or on your lap or just by your side. A cat dog who loves people pets and kids. Just a happy go lucky girl who also could be great therapy for the right family! Goop - this CUDDLEBUG 6 mo old Blue mix is the princess of snugs n' kisses! She is really REALLY sweet cuddly and gorgeous and way more stunning than she appears in photos. She is happy and still very much a kitten at heart and super duper gentle and quiet. She lives for lap time and making biscuits. Can be solo cat or buddied up! She even has been marked as possible future therapy cat!! Billy Jean - 10 mo old gorgeous BJean is about to be the love of your life! Her Blue Turkish Van roots are super apparent in her amazing personality and gorgeous plush soft as butter coat. She is a LOVER LOVER LOVER and raised with love in a home that sadly couldn't keep him after they moved. Perfect first cat or 100th cat! POSSIBLE THERAPY CAT. Great with all pets and people - WOW! Preciosa - 8m old supermodel goddess has all the qualities of a Bombay Coon mix - beauty love and joy - not super huge but still can grow. She is a gem of gems and seems to adjust rapidly in all types of homes. Old enough to go solo and truly gorgeous. Def a fav of all who have met her. Gentle lover and absolutely stunningly gorgeous! Azura is a beautiful Siamese, Lynx Point who joined the Chance at Life family from a municipal shelter on October 23, 2024. She was originally trapped in Hackensack with her 3 kittens. Her kittens were adopted and Azura was going to be put back outside as a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release). That is when Chance at Life stepped in. We believed she may have been someone's cat at some point and deserved a chance to have a furever home. Azura has been a "work in progress". She would do best in an adult only home that is not loud. She is more of a "pretty to look at, but don't touch" kind of gal. She will, however, steal your seat and keep it warm and allow you close if offering food. She loves to play by herself & can keep herself occupied and is talkative if lonely (adorable deep chirp meow). Azura likes sitting on top of the cat tree, watching out the window and watching what you are doing from a distance. She enjoys the coziest, warmest spot and exploring her surroundings. Her loves are food, treats and batting her toys around. If you are looking for a low maintenance and independent cat, that may never be a lap cat, then Azura may be for you! Sirichai is a handsome Lynx Point Mix (Siamese/Tabby) He has beautiful shades of grey and fawn and blue eyes. Sirichai joined the Chance at Life family on September 1, 2020, when another rescue group asked if we could take him in. They had a trapping project they were working on and Sirichai was part of the colony. They did not think he belonged there and did not want to put him back but did not have room to take him in. Sirichai was a work in progress. He was obviously homeless for a little while and it took time to earn his trust. He was adopted out in 2023 but returned in 2024 as the person did not feel he was the right fit or have the time to work with him. He is a quiet, gentle soul, but shy. He loves to be brushed, especially around the head. He is food motivated and will come when called if expecting a treat. Churru are his favorite and he will lick it off your finger. He prefers enclosed beds, but will also use open. Plays with string toys, but is a feather eater. Sirichai lives with other cats and may do well in a home with another cat providing proper introductions are done. An adult home with no young children would be best for him. Up to date on vaccinations, neutered and FIV positive, FeLV negative. Approximate DOB 09/01/2018 You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. If you live in a parent or guardian's home, they must complete the application. An application does not guarantee an adoption. It is not contagious to people. It is found in 1.5% to 3% of all U.S. cats. The most important fact to remember is that it should not be a death sentence for the cats with the virus. FIV strains in cats can live normal lives and may never cause the disease. FIV positive cats can live with FIV negative kitties assuming that there is no aggression. FIV is NOT transmitted casually and is spread through deep bite wounds. You cannot transmit it via sharing of litter boxes, grooming or sharing of bowls. It is not transmittable to dogs, children, adults or any species other than felines. With love and good care, many FIV+ cats can live normal lifespans. These days, it's not unusual to find FIV+ cats reaching 15 years or more.

Yara is a beautiful Lynx Point Mix (Siamese/Tabby). She has beautiful shades of cream & grey with blue eyes. She joined the Chance at Life family on September 21, 2023, from a municipal shelter. She originally came from a hoarding situation in Westwood, NJ. Yara has been a work in progress, she is very shy. She needs someone who can routinely dedicate time to spend with her one on one, whether that is a foster home or furever home. She will sniff your finger but is not a fan of being touched (although once in a while you can). Yara does not like treats but likes catnip! She plays by herself and prefers string toys. Yara lives with other cats and may do well in a home with another cat providing proper introductions are done. An adult home with no young children would be best for her. Approximate DOB 09/09/2020 Up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt.
