You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. Ziggy-Maine Coon/DLH Male, ~ 2 yr. (June 2026) Contact resceubc@hotmail.com for an application. Ziggy came to Rescue, through a local small town Humane Society. His owners could no longer care for him, and asked for a new home to be found. Ziggy is a very loving cat, used to being in a home. He's been a love at the Vet office and taken to all the recent transitions in his life. He is ready for a fresh start, new home. Ziggy's adoption fee is $150 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Buttons-Maine Coon/DLH Female, ~18 mo. (May 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Buttons came to Rescue when a small town Humane Society was helping her family. The elderly husband is having health issues and no one can take care of the cats. She loves people and is used to living with other cats. Tux Trimble-Maine Coon/DLH - male FIV+~2 yr. (Oct. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Tux came to a small town Humane Society when in need of a new home, when found as a stray. He has been living in a foster home, having hanging out and looking forward to having a family again. His foster mom says he's a lovely boy! He's sweet and affectionate. He gets along well with her other cats, too. His adoption fee is $150 each , to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
