Story
Cleopatra or Cleo for short is the nicest cat I have ever seen. Cleo is a mostly indoor cat but will use mulch outside to go to the bathroom. She will sit outside a door or on a window sill. She likes to sit on laps when you watch movies. She likes a scratching post. She eats dry and wet food. She loves raw beef or salmon and sometimes chicken in little bites. She likes fresh water every morning. Greenies are her preferred treat. This cat really is nice. Very mild tempered. She never gets angry or bites. She was adopted from Small Miracles in EC and came from a farm in WV. She is seven years old. After a recent divorce her mom can’t take her and her dad is becoming allergic. We want a safe home for Cleo. She was raised with teenagers and adults. She has been around other cats during her first years with us.

Story
Chanel is very affectionate and playful. She sits on your lap, comes when you call, loves playing games with you. She loves being chased. You can pick her up, roll her around, rub her belly, and she will never swipe. She allows baths, being brushed and having her nails cut. Great with kids. Chanel is litter-trained, will also go outside. She has only ever used the wood pellets. Traveled with her internationally and she did fine. When my baby nephew comes to visit, he will grab her fur or pat her head, and she just takes it and wanders around following him everywhere. Korean Shorthairs have personalities that are curious and high-energy and love people. Talkative, like a Siamese. Needs a home that has plenty of space, a family who does not mind her making noise. I socialized her well since she was a kitten. Chanel is really unlike any other cat I have met. She's the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, energetic and clever.

Story
Three years ago, when my 90-year-old mother moved in with me, her beloved cat Onyx came with her. My mom had rescued him after finding him in the hallway of her apartment building and speaking with a neighbor who admitted the poor cat had been left in a crate for days. Even though I already had two large dogs at home, I couldn’t bring myself to turn him away because of how much my mom loved him. Since then, Onyx has truly become part of our family. While Onyx has become dear to me, bringing him to Florida and taking him on such a long drive doesn’t feel fair to him or to my mom. Onyx just turned six, is neutered, fully up to date on his shots, and is a sweet indoor cat who loves watching the world from the window, lounging on his tower, and of course eating. My hope is simply to find him a happy home with someone who will love him and spend time with him the way he deserves. 🐾💚

Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Jules — a two-year-old brown tabby with a confident, outgoing personality and a heart full of charm! This handsome guy brings a fun, social energy wherever he goes and isn’t shy about making himself part of the action. Jules started his journey outdoors alongside other feline friends Vincent, Jimmie and Mia, where a kind family looked out for him. Thanks to their care—and a second chance at a better life—he’s made a smooth transition to indoor living and is clearly enjoying all the comforts of home. Currently in foster with Mia, Jules gets along well with other cats and truly thrives with feline companionship. While he and Mia are not bonded, Jules would do best in a home with another friendly cat to keep him company and share in his daily adventures. Confident and curious, Jules settles into new situations with ease and is always ready to explore, play, and interact. He does well with cat-savvy kids who understand how to respectfully engage with a spirited, social kitty like him. Whether he’s chasing toys, greeting you at the door, or hanging out nearby, Jules is a fun-loving companion who’s ready to bring energy, affection, and a little extra sparkle into his forever home. Story
Meet Foxy! 🦊😼 Foxy has the world’s most iconic resting grumpy face. He may look serious in photos, but don’t be fooled: underneath that expression is a total sweetheart with a heart of gold. Foxy is about 7 years old and spent much of his early life surviving outdoors. Those days are behind him now, and he has fully embraced the indoor life. Comfort, affection, and quality lap time are his new priorities — and he excels at all three! Once Foxy decides you’re safe (which usually takes less than a minute), he becomes an affectionate, people-loving companion who enjoys headbutts, attention, and being close to his humans. Despite his tough beginnings, Foxy is a social butterfly with other cats. He gets along well with friendly felines and would truly thrive in a home with another cat (or two!) to keep him company. He may also do well with a cat-savvy dog. While he hasn’t been tested with children, his gentle and affectionate nature suggests he could be a wonderful fit with respectful kids. Foxy is still discovering the joys of playtime and is beginning to show his playful side — it’s been a delight to watch his personality continue to bloom in foster care. One small but important note: Foxy has a chicken allergy and does great on a chicken-free diet. Easy fix, and he’s feeling fantastic! Foxy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and he’s ready to start his next chapter in a loving home. If you’re looking for a charming, affectionate cat with loads of personality (and an unforgettable face), Foxy might just be your perfect match. 🧡 Apply today and come meet Foxy — he’s ready to win your heart! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Aptly named for his ursine-looking face, Grizzly is a friendly, affectionate kitty who loves to hop up on laps for a little lovin'. His other favorite activity is playing with wand toys. 😺 He came from a home with another cat and a small dog, both of which he got along well with. Though we can never make guarantees, this indicates he may do well with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. When Grizzly was relinquished by his previous owner, he had bladder stones (a serious and painful condition), which were dissolved by feeding him a prescription urinary diet. He will need to be on this diet for life to ensure no new stones develop. Grizzly is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and FeLV/FIV negative.

Story
Meet Gracie! This affectionate girl radiates calm and comfort. She has a very gentle, soothing presence and loves to quietly follow her person from room to room, always nearby but never demanding. She especially enjoys lying near your feet and relaxing by your side, happy just to be close and share quiet time together. This gorgeous calico has been a loving companion for many years, offering emotional warmth and steady companionship. She would be an ideal match for a quiet home with someone looking for a kitty who appreciates soft voices, gentle attention, and peaceful routines. Gracie does not have experience living with other cats or dogs, so we are not sure how she would do with a feline or canine companion. Gracie is about 11 years old and weighs around 11 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has great litter box habits. She is healthy other than a heart murmur, grade 3 of 6, and will be seen by a veterinary cardiologist prior to adoption. This sweet girl is losing her home only because an elderly family member with severe cat allergies has recently moved in. Her devoted, loving family has tried everything to reduce allergy symptoms but, as sometimes happens, nothing is helping. We (FFOCAS) are helping Gracie’s family find her forever home safely. Interested? Please get in touch via email (ffocas4pets@gmail.com) or through adoptapet. We’ll ask you to fill out a rehoming application so we can keep this process as safe as possible for all involved – especially Gracie!

Story
Frederick, MD Meet Bandit and Goose! Through no fault of their own, this affectionate pair is seeking a loving home together and we are helping their family safely rehome them. Adopted as kittens, they have grown up side by side and share a strong bond. Their current pet parent is moving into a new home with a partner who is unfortunately severely allergic to cats and hopes to find a family who can give them the attention and affection they deserve. Both Bandit and Goose are described as very loving and sweet. They thrive in environments where they receive plenty of attention and affection. Whether they’re curled up together for a nap or greeting you with gentle purrs, their sweet personalities are sure to warm your heart and fill your days with companionship. Goose is the alpha of the two. He can sometimes get a little rough with Bandit during play and is a bit more vocal when seeking attention. Both are fearless about getting into their carrier, making vet visits a breeze. They enjoy being held and don’t mind being picked up. Their compatibility with dogs is unknown, but it’s likely they will adjust well after a proper introduction. Both have lived with other cats and have done well in the past living with small children. Bandit and Goose are both males, approximately 3 years old, and weigh between 14 and 15 lbs. Both are in good health, up to date on vaccinations, and litter box trained. Interested? Please email us at ffocasrea@gmail.com with any questions or for an application.
