Their story began about four years ago under my late father’s homing pigeon coop in his backyard. My father—who lived to be nearly 104 and was a proud World War II veteran—immediately fell in love with these kittens, and despite my early plans to find them homes, he insisted on keeping and caring for them himself. They brought him tremendous comfort and joy during his final years. Since my father’s passing last May, their situation has become heartbreaking!!! Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes.
