Story
Meet Tidbit or "Tink" as her foster mother calls her! A recently groomed mega sweetheart, she's a gentle and affectionate little dog who would thrive in a quieter, calmer environment where she can get the attention she deserves. Tink does great with all dogs and cats. She is pee pad trained but only uses them in cases of emergency as she prefers to do her business outside. She enjoys being outside with her person, and you may catch her doing a quick lap around the yard when the weather is nice. She can go in and out of the house on her own as long as there isn't a huge flight of steps involved. She loves all people but is a little timid at first meeting. While she rarely barks, she may voice her opinion when a stranger comes to the door or if she sees an unruly bird or squirrel outside on the patio. As the little princess she is, Tink prefers your presence when she dines. She is underweight so it helps if she has food available throughout the day. She currently eats wet and dry food. As you might have guessed, Tink is a low-key lap dog. She'd love to sleep in the big bed with you but does not demand it. When you're not home, she'll find a quiet place to sleep. That spot may be behind a chair on a blanket, under the bed, or even on a dog bed in the bathroom. She'll decide where her comfort zone is. Tink wants to be near her person all the time and has recently shown signs of separation anxiety when left alone. Tink has been fully vetted and just completed a dental appointment (yes, she still has teeth!). She has a heart murmur that does not currently require meds but going forward for a safe and healthy future, her cardiologist recommends regular appointments to monitor. Our Tink is a sweet special gal looking for a very committed adopter who will see to her whims and needs. If you think you are the one, please complete an application today! Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Ozzie. In mid-November, this incredibly sweet little dog found himself in a dire situation. He wasn’t feeling well, so his family took him to the vet. Shockingly, their recommended solution was to put Ozzie to sleep. Thankfully, the vet couldn’t bring himself to go through with it. Instead, he asked Ozzie’s family to release him into his care, and they agreed. He immediately called Critter Cavalry, and Ozzie’s story took a hopeful turn.   After a second thorough exam and x-rays, it was determined that nothing was seriously wrong with Ozzie. He only seemed to have some mild back pain, which resolved after a short course of medication. The moment Miss Dawn arrived home and Ozzie heard the other dogs, his spirits lifted. He happily bounded out of the car, and in no time, he was running around the backyard with his new friends.   Ozzie is a very sweet little man who is 7 years old and 9 lbs.  He is very friendly.  Ozzie gets along great with other dogs.  He does not meet a 4 legged stranger.  He also loves people.  Ozzie would do best in an all-adult home with another small dog to play with.  He is happy boy who just brings a smile to your face.  Don’t you want a similar smile on your face!!     To be considered for Ozzie’s forever family and to request an adoption application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Ozzie is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)December 11, 2025, 7:13 pm

Benji Magoo – Inspiration to all Underdogs, Snack Enthusiasts, and Dogs Who Are Just Trying Their BestOccupation(s): Professional Shadow • Shower Lifeguard • Neighborhood Watch InternAge: Young enough to cause chaos, old enough to know he shouldn’t, and bold enough to do it anyway.Equal parts fuzzy charm and feral goblin energy, this spicy Shih Tzu operates on pure vibes, endless shenanigans, and zero regrets. He has a Tough Guy exterior, but a soft, snuggly center reserved for his chosen people. His attitude is as big as he is small, and his circle of trust is modest, but growing every day. Magoo’s hobbies include acting as Resident Bouncer when visitors are at the door, supervising all bathroom activities, and learning from the resident dogs how to bark at pedestrians who have the audacity to mind their own business.Magoo has also done wonderfully with his foster’s five-year-old niece, proving that while he may be a tiny bouncer at heart, he has a soft spot for gentle kiddos who offer good vibes and better treats.Fun Fact: He was recently interviewed by a Newsweek reporter, so please address him with the respect befitting a media personality. He’s basically a celebrity now. Autographs available between 11:00am - 11:09am every other Thursday. Personality: 10/10Penchant for Criminal Activity: 7/10Commitment to being adorable chaos: 100/10Ego after the Newsweek interview: Off the chartsIf you have experience with short kings who have big personalities and loud opinions, we welcome you to submit an inquiry to become Benji’s new sidekick by emailing his foster mom at maureen1188@gmail.com. Benji Magoo is a special adoption; his new family will meet with a member of HRA’s behavior team to go over his unique personality, needs, and how to best support a tiny king with a limited field of vision but an unlimited capacity for love, snacks, and chaos. To see more of his antics (and his good side), check him out on Instagram @Barks_and_Wreck
