She just wants a gentle, loving home please! Vegas was recently found as a lost and forlorn stray. She was in very sad shape- her hair was tangled and matted. Her eyes were uncomfortable too. She was in dire need of medical care, so HRA got to work on her pronto! Vegas is improving but she so needs loving folks that can provide this senior the best care going forward. Vegas is an old soul who likes to take things slow. Her vision is not the best so a home where she can be safe would be wonderful. And she has the type of hair that keeps growing so she needs to see the doggie groomer every few months to keep her hair free from painful mattings. Clyde is a tiny but mightly little guy found wandering the streets of Anne Arundal county dirty and matted. The shelter took him in, got him cleaned up, and found an adorable Shih Tzu under all that matting. Clyde is now recovering from his ordeal with a devoted foster who is helping him learn that he is safe and can relax. Clyde is 4 years old and 15 pounds. He likes to be around a person he trusts, and develops trust pretty quickly - especially if you have treats. However he needs to get to know people on his own terms - he doesn't like people approaching him but prefers to do the approaching. Once he knows you, Clyde loves snuggling, rolling over, getting belly rubs, and sleeping in bed with his human. He is completely housetrained, no accidents at all. He takes treats very gently and shows no food or toy aggression. His foster can even take food out of his bowl and hand feed him with no problems. He has been completely submissive with having his face and paws washed as well. He walks easily on the leash and loves going for walks. At his fosters he loves to sit in the window seat and watch the world go by. Clyde has been friendly to every dog he meets but especially likes big ones. He had quite an ordeal being lost for who knows how long, and deserves a home where he will get the peace and security he deserves. Clyde has some behavior issues that will require consistent training. He will need a dog-experienced, adult-only adopter(s) who will work on training with him. This darling girl was found wandering the street and PAW scooped her up to find her forever home. Little Lottie is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She is a sweet girl who comes to people easily for pets. She enjoys being carried around like a little pocket pup. Lottie walks well on the leash with a cute bounce in her step. Lottie did not react to other pups in the shelter but we are still getting to know her. She will be with a short term foster as she recovers from her neutering and we will update more. He was too stressed out in the shelter so they reached out for a rescue group to help him. We got there as soon as we can. Newton is an active, happy, playful dog that gets along well with his new foster brother. He seems to be energetic and active and a bit mouthy so he would not do well with young children. Look back here for more information as we get to know him better. Newton is a very affectionate companion. He seems to want to and will climb into your lap to be close to you. He like to be in touch with his people either on the lap, next to and touching on the couch, and very close in bed at night with his warm body. PUPPY LIL NEMO

This darling 4 month old black and white boy is called Lil Nemo And we think he is a papillon Chihuahua mix and only weighs 7 lb. This little guy was being given away on craigslist and a foster called and was able to secure him for our rescue to properly place him in the right home. This little guy has a soft wavy coat of black fur and he is the calmest 4-month-old we have ever seen. He walks very nicely on a leash with a little bit of encouragement and he is trying his hand at being a good boy that is housebroken. He gets along beautifully with other creatures, cats and dogs and he hates the crate. We can't pretend that he will nicely sit in the crate without complaining loudly. Currently his foster mom allows him to sleep with her at night. This little guy is a gym and probably will be a 15 to 20 lb tops mature adult. He is not housebroken since we have not had him long enough and no one has taught him the schedule. But he is a calm and bright little guy that sits in your lap and does not wiggle and will stand there and let you hold him while the humans chat for 30 minutes. A rare little puppy to be so young.
