Story
** Current location: in a boarding house in South Korea ** Meet Lulu👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—likely victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Lulu was one of them. Her sagging nipples hinted at the harsh life she had endured, likely used repeatedly for breeding. Lulu is ready to leave her difficult past behind and finally enjoy life as a cherished member of a loving family. She’s looking for a forever home where she’ll be cared for and loved the way she deserves. • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet Lulu doesn’t seem to have received much love from humans in the past. She doesn’t actively seek out attention or affection from volunteers, but she’s such a sweet and gentle little girl. We believe that with time and patience, once she learns how to interact and bond with people, her true personality will shine—just like any beloved family dog. • Affinity with - Dogs: Gentle around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Not tested with kids, but we assume she would be good with all gentle people! • Walking Manners: In training—she gets quite nervous on a leash due to a lack of walking experience but also seems curious about the outdoors. With consistent practice, she’s likely to improve over time. • Housetrained: Will need housetraining in a new environment • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Car Sickness: Comfortable with car rides • Separation Anxiety: None • Barks/Howls: Almost none. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Shedding level (1~10): 2-3 • Likes: She likes getting pets! • Health: When rescued, Lulu was weak and suffering from hematuria caused by a bladder stone, which required immediate surgery. Thankfully, she has made a full recovery! However, she will need a bit of ongoing special care, such as a urinary health diet and limited calcium intake.

Story
Duke is a sweet, sensitive soul who recently joined Daisy’s Legacy after finding himself overwhelmed in a shelter environment. Right now, Duke is decompressing in a loving foster home where we're taking the time to better understand his needs, personality, and the kind of forever home where he’ll truly thrive. Duke is not yet available for adoption — he’s still learning to trust, finding his confidence, and adjusting to life outside the shelter. Our team is carefully evaluating what kind of environment will set him up for success, and we’ll update his profile as we learn more. 💛 Want to help Duke and dogs like him? Fostering and caring for dogs with behavioral and emotional challenges takes time, resources, and a whole lot of love. Story
Meet adorable Snickerdoodle Cookie! The name suits, this sweet pup LOVES to cuddle with her human. She is most assuredly a people dog -- while seemingly fine with dogs (of all sizes), she loves and lives for her people (of all ages)! Snicker is an adorable estimated 4 year old, 19.4 pound female long hair/scruffy Maltese mix! This cream colored gal, with fluffy ears, is sweet, lovable and a champion tall-wagger. She still has that puppy playfulness but also has adjusted quickly and well to home living. Her foster reports that "she is the most adorable pup with a great personality. She is leash trained (no pulling or biting on leash), and appears to be potty trained." Poor Snickers was found as a stray in local Prince Georges county; no one came to reclaim this sweetie! The overcapacity PG shelter made an urgent plea for rescues and fosters this week as the extreme heat wave limited their buildings air conditioning and the animals were suffering. Due to a foster's offer PetConnect was able to commit to another pup, but after meeting Snickers at the shelter, we couldn't leave this extremely sweet dog behind so we left with two rather than only one dog! Snickers would love to curl up with you to hang out on a summer night; she loves to cuddle and get pets! She would be an excellent new member of the family and is eager to find a family to love! ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving applicants is a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Snickers will be is spayed and is up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Robin at kinstondogs@verizon.net **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Sarah! This sweet, precious girl is learning what love and kindness feel like for the first time. Before coming to Miri's Haven, Sarah spent her life in a tiny wire cage with a backyard breeder who hoped to profit from her. Even though she couldn't produce puppies, she was still confined to the cage year after year. Now safe in foster care, this brave little soul is discovering what it means to be loved, cherished, and free. She is receiving tons of pampering and beginning to understand that life can be leisurely and beautiful - no wire cages in sight, only the finest puppy beds (and maybe a human bed or two!). Sarah is still getting used to interacting with humans. While she isn't sold on too much petting or snuggling just yet, she always wants to be nearby and loves a bedtime head scratch. She is a joyful girl and LOVES playing with toys and rolling around in dog beds. Her favorite sleeping position? On her back with her tongue out, snoring so everyone can hear just how content she is. Sarah absolutely loves food - when she's about to get a treat, she does the most adorable and impressive tap dance to celebrate. She also loves time exploring the yard with her foster sister. She's not housetrained but is happy to wear diapers inside, and she gets along well with both cats and dogs. She walks well on the leash and is happy riding in the car or staying home while her people are out. She is looking for a family who can be patient with her as she learns to navigate her new world and help build her confidence. She thrives on consistent routines and will do best in a calm, gentle home - ideally one that has a fenced in yard and humans who are home much of the time. Sarah has been gaining confidence from dogs who are around her size, so we think she would do best in a home with at least one other fur sibling. Sarah is looking for a forever home filled with plenty of space and the kindest humans we can find. She deserves so much love and we know the right forever family will find her soon - could it be yours? Sarah is approximately 10 years old and 7lbs. Fostered in Gaithersburg, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org

Story
Meet Puddin’ – The Sweetest Soul You’ll Ever Love Sometimes life turns upside down… but for one special little dog, we’re determined to help her land right where she belongs—in the heart of a kind, loving home. Puddin’ is a precious Bichon/Poodle mix, 2–3 years old, with a beautiful coat and the kind of eyes that tell a story. At just 23 pounds, she’s the perfect size for snuggles, quiet companionship, and warm laps. Recently, her world was turned upside down when she lost the only home she knew due to unfortunate circumstances beyond her control. She didn’t ask for her life to change—but she’s trusting us to help her find something better… and we know it’s out there. Puddin’ is already spayed, freshly groomed, and fully up to date on all her vetting—the first real care she’s ever received. Despite her past, she is gentle, friendly, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. New people can make her a little shy at first, but give her just a little patience, and you’ll see her blossom into a trusting, loving companion who will melt into your heart. This sweet girl has had limited social experiences so far, but what she needs now is simple: a calm, stable, and understanding home where she can feel safe, be adored, and finally relax into the life she deserves. &#226&#156&#168 Why Puddin’ is the perfect addition to your life: Friendly with dogs and warms up sweetly to people ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143 Ideal for a calm, quiet home with gentle routines A shy girl who will reward your love with deep devotion Fully vetted, spayed, groomed, and healthy A beautiful soul, inside and out Puddin’ will sweeten your life—and you’ll be her whole world. All she needs is someone to believe in her, care for her, and give her the kind of home she’s always deserved.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Puddin’. Help us keep our promise to her—and let her be the gentle joy you didn’t know your heart was missing.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 5, 2025, 1:19 pm
