Story
This cute little scruffy guy is Tino, and he’s ready to find his forever family! Tino is great in his kennel and potty trained, which is always a wonderful bonus! He may take a minute to warm up to new people, but once he decides you’re his friend, get ready for the silliest, happiest little personality. 🥰 He’s curious about the world around him and loves getting to know his surroundings. He has been a little nervous and unsure around toddlers, so we think he’d do best with respectful older kids or adults who can give him time to feel comfortable. Once Tino warms up, his goofy side comes out—and that adorable scruffy little face is hard to resist! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Current Location: Nottingham, MD Meet Fred 💛 Fred is a tender, young Shih Tzu mix who is learning what life can be like when it’s safe, quiet, and kind. He came from a hoarding situation, so the world is still a very big and sometimes scary place—but every day, Fred shows small, brave signs of trust that speak volumes about the loving dog he’s becoming. He’s not ready for hands yet, and sudden movements send him scurrying for cover, but if you sit quietly or go about your day, Fred may sneak close, sniff curiously, and—if he’s feeling extra courageous—offer a quick lick before retreating again. Those tiny moments are huge victories for a dog who has learned that survival sometimes means staying invisible. What truly makes Fred shine is his love for other dogs. He bonded quickly and deeply with his calm, patient foster brother Guinness, who has become his emotional anchor and favorite companion. Fred feels safest with a steady canine friend by his side and will need a similar dog in his future home to help him build confidence. With the right buddy, Fred shows glimpses of joy—howling in protest when separated, scattering toys and chews around the house, stealing socks, and getting the “rips” as he dashes around trying to spark a game of chase. While higher‑energy dogs still feel overwhelming, his curiosity is growing, and he’s watching the world a little more closely every day. Fred is still very much a work in progress and will need a patient, dog‑savvy home committed to moving at his pace. He’s a flight risk and not ready for outdoor adventures yet, and grooming and handling will take time and trust. He’s learning to use potty pads again, loves toys and natural chews, and rewards kindness with quiet companionship and gentle glances from across the room. Fred may not be the dog who runs up for cuddles—but for the right person, earning his trust will be an incredibly meaningful journey. If you believe love can be measured in small steps and soft victories, Fred just might be your kind of dog. 🐾
