Story
Welcome Monica to CCPAL Rescue. Monica is a 2 year old Flat Coated Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound is our best guess. She is a mix of breeds we are sure. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the street big and pregnant. Her pups all look very different. Some are fluffy and some are not. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a crate and good on a leash. She is also nice in her kennel and was the very best and most attentive momma. She isn’t very vocal which is wonderful and would make an easy dog to bring into some family. She has weaned her pups and will be spayed soon and ready for her very own forever home. She does her business outside on a leash and she is just the most wonderful dog. Some dogs are easy in Rescue and she is one of those dogs. She is in Texas with the CCPAL Rescue. She would be a great walking or jogging companion due to her long legs. She is a moderate to low shedding dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

**Nyssa, (neesa) A gorgeous Whippet- Jack Russell Mix**   Introducing Nyssa, a truly exceptional one-year-old Jack Russell Terrier-Whippet mix with a short coat. This delightful pup perfectly blends gentleness and strength, feistiness and confidence—wrapped in a personality that is simply irresistible. At this pivotal stage in her life, Nyssa is ready to flourish and thrive with the loving family she deserves. This is your chance to make a lasting difference in her world!   While Nyssa may be a bit shy at first, she quickly opens up and builds trust with kind encouragement. An active family would be her perfect match, providing the companionship she needs to channel her boundless energy into thrilling adventures and meaningful training. Intelligent and eager to learn, Jack Russells excel with proper guidance, and with the Whippet’s calm and gentle nature, Nyssa is the ideal partner for anyone excited about training and outdoor fun. Just imagine the incredible bond you could create together!   It’s important to note that this unique breed has a strong prey drive, so its future home should be free of small animals and cats. To ensure a harmonious environment, we are particularly looking for families with children over 10 years old who have experience with dogs.   Nyssa's stunning short coat features beautiful brown spots against a pristine white background, complemented by her long back and medium-short legs, creating an adorable silhouette. Her robust, muscular build not only hints at her potential as a fantastic hiking or agility partner but also promises a life overflowing with joy and excitement. Picture all the adventures waiting for you with Nyssa by your side!   **Adopting Nyssa** To adopt Nyssa, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up to ask questions, address any concerns you may have, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process.   The adoption fee for Nyssa is $395.  All funds will be utilized to cover her medical care and to rescue more dogs in need. www.smallpupsrescue.org Nissa has a bonded dog adoption fee of $595.00 if adopted as a bonded pair with her best buddy, Luna.      September 1, 2026, 1:12 pm

Story
**INTRODUCING KIWI Senior Dogs and Friends. Arlington, WA. 360.386-2393 www.smallpupsrescue.org DO YOU LOVE THE JACK RUSSELL? Kiwi is looking for a stable, loving home where he can settle in for good, and this boy has personality!! Kiwi will melt your heart once he is settled and you have created a bond! Kiwi is housebroken, independent, and smart. He just needs someone to call family. This sweet 7-year-old Jack Russell mix wants to be your best friend. He’s a great companion, happy to relax all day and always up for a walk when you are. Kiwi enjoys car rides and loves playing fetch, so if you have a ball, he’ll be ready for fun. He’ll curl up in your lap while you work from home or watch TV, and he rarely barks. For homes with kids, Kiwi does best with adults. Typical of the Jack Russell breed, Kiwi has a strong prey drive and should not live with cats or other small animals. Kiwi’s health needs are easy to manage, but it’s important to be aware of them. He has some spine issues that sometimes cause pain and a little bladder leakage, so he wears a belly band. He takes daily medication to help with discomfort and does best with regular, short walks instead of long or very active outings. Other than this, he doesn’t need any complicated medical care. His routine mainly involves giving him his medication, monitoring his mobility, and ensuring he’s comfortable. When Kiwi first left the shelter, he reacted to other dogs on leashes and sometimes guarded his things. Thanks to training, he now walks calmly past other dogs every day. Because of his past, he’ll do best in a home without other dogs. We’ll provide training materials, behavioral support, and guidance to help you continue making progress. We’re always here to answer questions or offer advice. Kiwi’s spinal issues cause some nerve compression, which leads to pain and occasional dribbling from lack of bladder control. He’s comfortable wearing belly bands, has only occasional leaks, and is fully housebroken. If you have a fenced yard, like going for walks, have a big heart, and love animals, you might be the perfect match for this quirky senior Jack Russell Terrier who likes to take things at his own pace. Applying doesn’t mean you’re committing right away. It just helps us see if you’re a good fit and gives you a chance to meet Kiwi. If now isn’t the right time to add a new family member, please like, comment, or share this post with someone who might be interested. Every interaction helps us reach more people and find Kiwi a home. Thank you for your ongoing support.   **Adopting Kiwi** To adopt, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process.   The adoption fee for Kiwi is $395 and includes his vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip, and neuter.   www.smallpupsrescue.org     September 1, 2026, 1:12 pm
