Story
Three puppies, two males named Tommy Boy and Trouble, and one female named Robin, were found as strays and taken to a kill shelter in Orange County. Tommy Boy and Robin both had parvo and Trouble had a fractured back leg. The AALOC team knew these young dogs didn’t stand a chance with their medical issues and would be euthanized, so a volunteer pulled them out of the kill shelter to receive the medical attention they needed and the chance to find forever homes at AALOC. We believe all three puppies are St. Bernard mixes but based on their current size we don’t feel they will grow as large as full-bred St. Bernard dogs. Robin and Trouble were recently adopted but Tommy Boy is still looking for his forever home. Tommy Boy was treated for his parvo and has fully recovered. Tommy Boy’s coat is white and he is the biggest of the three puppies. He is a bundle of puppy energy and very playful and very sweet. Tommy Boy likes to be the center of attention and loves pets. We recommend he be adopted by someone who can provide the exercise he will need as a very active dog. Please apply to adopt Tommy Boy at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Tommy Boy and get to know him a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. Blossom is a 7 month old sweet girl, she loves to run in the yard & she does zoomies galore! She loves to lay down while eating and very good with other dogs. She’s currently with large dogs from 125 lbs to her size. She loves water. She has never been around livestock or cats. She loves to jump up on us which is a habit we are trying to break her of. She would benefit from basic obedience training immediately. She has a smooth coat and big floppy ears. She’s never been around kids but we think she will do amazing with children. She loves to lay on the couch also. She is ready for her forever home to love her.

** BONDED pair - Need to stay together ** A good Samaritan found these two wandering around; took them in, did the needful to try to locate their owners to no avail and reached out to Sunny Saints to find the perfect home for them. They are dog friendly, potty trained, need work on leashing training, but again, completely bonded, they don't like to be out of sight of one another, even sleeping next to eachother. These girls are on the smaller size, and very sweet with people. Please consider opening your heart and home to these girls. Xena is a sweet 8 month old rough coat. She is extremely playful and loves to do her zoomies. She is with big dogs up to 150lbs and excellent with them. She has never been around livestock or cats, but she does chase bunnies in the yard. She would do great with another dog & is still working on potty training. She has not been around children but she is great with everyone meeting her and loves to give kisses. She does try to nibble your hand when you pet her, a puppy habit we are trying to correct. We would recommend basic obedience training for her. She LOVES to run in the sprinklers when they are on. She is ready for her forever family to love her.

Sunny is a gentle soul with a heart full of love, waiting for her second chance at happiness. This 80-pound Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix is 7 years old and ready to find her forever family. This beautiful soul spent 557 days in the shelter due to a welfare case. She truly deserves a place to call a forever home! Though Sunny may be shy and nervous at first, beneath that quiet exterior is a calm and loving dog who is slowly opening up to the world. She’s made amazing progress, becoming more comfortable on walks and showing comfort around other dogs. Sunny has favorite cozy spots like the couch or a human bed where she enjoys her peaceful retreat. She has even initiated brief play with another dog. She is crate trained, though so laid-back that crating isn’t necessary. Quiet and rarely barking, Sunny would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can enjoy a calm, relaxed life.
