Story
This is hard to let my Lady go. I rescued her as a small puppy and have had her about 2 years. Lady still has puppy energy and likes to play tug of war with her toys and catch things in her mouth. She loves her belly rubs and to be scratched on her sides. She will not go to the bathroom in the house as long as she gets her regular walks. She will usually bark and signal when she needs to go. She loves her walks and treats. She got bit on the lip by a small dog about a year ago and is a little reactive to certain dogs. Others she is fine with and always fine if she gets an introductory sniff. Great with kids. Lady is very food motivated and will steal your dinner if you don’t keep an eye on it. She sleeps and relaxes a lot. She doesn’t get along with cats yet although she wags her tail and I think wants to play. Since she’s so big the cats don’t want anything to do with it. A cat that doesn’t hiss at her might do well.

Story
Three puppies, two males named Tommy Boy and Trouble, and one female named Robin, were found as strays and taken to a kill shelter in Orange County. Tommy Boy and Robin both had parvo and Trouble had a fractured back leg. The AALOC team knew these young dogs didn’t stand a chance with their medical issues and would be euthanized, so a volunteer pulled them out of the kill shelter to receive the medical attention they needed and the chance to find forever homes at AALOC. We believe all three puppies are St. Bernard mixes but based on their current size we don’t feel they will grow as large as full-bred St. Bernard dogs. Robin was treated for his parvo and has fully recovered. Robin is full of playful puppy energy, but she is calmer and gentler than her brother siblings. Robin is just a sweetheart that loves attention and pets. She is tri-color - black, brown and white - with the St. Bernard signature eyes that are ringed in black. Please apply to adopt Robin at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Robin and get to know her a bit. Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our dog adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org or by phone (714) 893-4393.

Tommy Boy was treated for his parvo and has fully recovered. Tommy Boy’s coat is white and he is the biggest of the three puppies. He is a bundle of puppy energy and very playful and very sweet. Tommy Boy likes to be the center of attention and loves pets. We recommend he be adopted by someone who can provide the exercise he will need as a very active dog. Please apply to adopt Tommy Boy at www.AALOC.org. We believe all three puppies are St. Bernard mixes but based on their current size we don’t feel they will grow as large as full-bred St. Bernard dogs. Trouble’s fracture had already started to heal before he arrived at AALOC. Our veterinarian recommended we monitor to see if Trouble would use the leg or if it would need to be amputated since it was already healing. We noticed Trouble uses the leg normally and  runs and plays without issue. Trouble is a playful puppy with lots of energy. He loves attention and pets. Trouble is the smallest of the three puppies with a brown coat and the St. Bernard signature eyes that are ringed in black. Please apply to adopt Trouble at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Trouble and get to know him a bit..
