Story
Beethoven is described as being friendly, playful, energetic and smart. He currently lives in a foster home and following is what his foster parents have reported so far: How does your dog respond to other dogs?:He is submissive to our 2 dogs (one large, one small both neutered males). He wags his tail and sniffed them out at first but was not excited or pursuant. He will run around the yard and play with them but is not overly energetic.House trained?:Yes. No accidents inside. He does not ask to go out but is on a pretty good routine of going out 4-5 times/day. He follows our other dogs lead. Otherwise no marking lot accidents and stays dry in a crate from 9pm to 6am.Additional Interactive Details?:He is very laid back. Likes to chew hard on toys. Is very unaware of his size and strength, not that he uses it against you but if you're caught off guard he’s just a lot of dog behind any kind of movement. We have lots of stray kids' toys laying around. He has tried to pick up a few and chew them. I have not seen him bother shoes, pillows or blankets. He does love to chew on bones, Kongs and dog-stuffies so it’s possible he just doesn’t know the difference between dog toys and kid toys. Since he is so new to our home, he is not left alone in the house while no one is upstairs or outside for a sustained period of time. Once while I was downstairs cooking and he was laying in the other room I caught him beginning to chew on the wooden baseboard. How has your dog been doing in the crate and what have your expectations been?:Still hesitant to go into the crate when asked but will easily follow for a treat. Once inside will settle and sit or lay quickly. He does not bark or whine. He is crated multiple times throughout the day for short periods both while the other dogs are crated and when the other 2 are free roaming. He is crated at night 9pm-6am. He will not go in there when asked or on his own accord yet.

Story
Handsome 2-year-old Benny has a long list of very admirable qualities! He behaves perfectly at home, does not counter surf, sits & waits for his meals & is not a heavy drooler. A mellow, affectionate boy, Benny is content to stay quietly by your side if you work from home as the only dog. Although friendly with some dogs, Benny is sometimes "dog selective" & we feel he should be the only dog at his new home. Benny looks forward eagerly to his daily walks but won't require an intense amount of exercise. He rides well in a car & is not destructive. He sleeps through the night & is housebroken & neutered. A great match would be a loving "Saint Bernard savvy" adopter looking for a fluffy love bug & willing to devote time, continued training & leadership in exchange for limitless snuggles, love & devotion from Benny. If you are interested in Benny, please complete an adoption application on a laptop or desktop ( not a cell phone). https://www.sunnysaints.org/our-adoption-process.html
