Story
Maximino, or “Max,” is a loving St. Bernard who will be turning 5 years old in April 2026. I adopted him when he was just six weeks old, and he has been a loyal, gentle companion ever since. Max has a sweet and friendly temperament—he does great with children and other animals, making him a wonderful fit for a family environment. He has a natural protective instinct and makes a great watchdog, but he has never shown aggression or harmed anyone. He enjoys being around people, has a calm demeanor for his size, and thrives in a home where he gets attention and care.

Story
Tucker is a big, sweet boy who doesn’t quite realize his size — he loves to lean in for belly rubs and be close to his people. He’s great with kids, good with other dogs, and lives well with a cat (he may try to playfully chase, but listens when corrected). He rides well in the car and is about a year and a half old (born in the fall). He also has registration papers.Tucker would thrive in a home that can give him structure, guidance, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion — Tucker’s your guy!April 5, 2026, 1:24 pm

Story
This St. Bernard mix defies both odds and expectations.  To meet Shito you would not believe he spent the first year of his life living in a small cage filled with his own feces.  When his "owner" was charged with animal cruelty he graduated to being tied on a chain in the desert heat.  Concerned neighbors came to the rescue of him, his three siblings and two other dogs when the "owner" was arrested and sentenced to time in jail.  Unfortunately, that "freedom" meant cutting them loose to fend for themselves unwilling to be touched by people.  When we got the call we knew we had to help and after a grueling 10 days were able to safely secure them all.   Shito's start was full of fear but his desire to trust and be loved was intense for a dog who had clearly had a rough beginning.  Once safe, his confidence, eagerness to please, absolute desire for affection and food drive blossomed and is a joy to experience.  He LOVES to be touched.  Brushing is his absolute happy place.  He'll meet you with a tail wag, loves to give sweet kisses and will make you smile.  He is a gentle giant but due to his size and young age is still learning feet stay on the ground but is a dream on the leash and sits quick for treats.  He has rarely met a person he didn't love, however, is afraid of little feet so older children only please.  Due to a life fighting to survive he can be around dogs safely but not in the same home or shared space so needs to be your one and only.   He may have had a horrible beginning but he is ready for you to help write his amazing future.  Apply and come meet him today.  You won't regret it. ##2163426##

Story
Meet Cayenne This stunning St. Bernard mix is living proof that resilience, love, and second chances can change everything. Cayenne’s beginning was unimaginable. She spent the first year of her life confined to a small cage, living in her own waste. When her “owner” was charged with animal cruelty, her situation changed—but not for the better. She was chained in the desert heat, left to endure the elements. When that owner was finally arrested, Cayenne and the other dogs were simply turned loose—forced to survive on their own, fearful and untouchable. That’s when A Way Home For Dogs stepped in. After a grueling 10 days, all were safely secured. And Cayenne? She chose love. Despite everything, her desire to trust, connect, and be loved never faded—and once safe, she blossomed into something truly special. Perks  Gentle giant with a heart of gold Loves affection—will happily soak up pets and give sweet kisses Friendly and social—rarely meets a person she doesn’t love Food motivated and eager to please Walks beautifully on leash  Quick learner—already knows how to sit for treats Happy, tail-wagging energy that will make you smile Needs  Still learning her size—working on keeping all four paws on the ground Best with older children only (little feet can make her nervous) Needs to be the only dog in the home Will thrive with continued structure, guidance, and consistency Ideal Home Cayenne would thrive in a loving, stable home that can continue building her confidence while giving her the affection she craves. She’d do best with an adopter who appreciates a big, loving dog and is committed to ongoing training and guidance. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty, joy, and a whole lot of love. She may have had a heartbreaking beginning, but she’s ready for her forever—can you be the one to write her happy ending?  ##2162481##

Story
How this pet arrived: Clifford was brought in by a community member on January 30, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Clifford - a big dog with an even bigger heart! True to his name, Clifford is a gentle giant who is ready to fill your life with joy and adventure. Clifford absolutely loves running around and staying active. Whether it is chasing after his favorite balls or splashing around and playing in the water, he is always up for some fun! When he isn't busy playing, Clifford is a master of relaxation. He loves nothing more than basking in the warm sun and soaking up the rays. He has a soft, sensitive nature and truly thrives on gentle petting and quiet moments of affection with his favorite humans. He can sometimes have "big feelings" and feel a little unsure around new people, especially men, so he's looking for a patient family who will proudly advocate for his space. With calm introductions and a bit of time, his trust and confidence start to shine. Because of his size and sensitive soul, he is best suited for a home with children aged 8 and up who can respect his boundaries. He is ready to grow something truly special with you: a lifetime of trust, confidence, and love. Bring the whole family in to meet him today! Shy/Fearful Dog: Clifford requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Red Weight: 130 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks
