Story
Dash is a 5 year old Saint Bernard/Bernese and has such a cuddly personality! He is protective and loves his people and is very patient with kids (we have 5 ages 5-15). He is a big boy - 140lbs - with a gorgeous coat and the sweetest eyes. Dash can be anxious and overwhelmed with lots of activity around him so would do best in a relatively quiet and calm living environment - preferably with someone who is experienced with Saints/large dogs. He doesn’t have any destructive behaviors (chewing, digging, etc) and is house trained and easy to teach where to go potty outside etc. Please let me know if your home might be a good fit for this pup!

As big as he is, Elvis is still very much a puppy who is learning his manners and figuring out just how big he really is. This sweet boy’s favorite place is wherever his people are. He’s perfectly content to spend hours at your feet while you work, happily snoozing or quietly chewing on a favorite toy. Elvis loves deeply and isn’t shy about showing it—he’ll happily nuzzle his big head into you whenever he gets the chance. He’s eager to please, learns quickly, and wants nothing more than to be included in his family’s everyday life. Elvis is looking for a family who will enjoy taking him on daily walks, playing with him, continuing his training, and making him part of their adventures. He does well with children of all ages, but he’s still learning to understand his size. When it’s time to wind down, Elvis settles nicely on his bed and does well in his crate overnight. Clancy was originally part of a pack of ten young dogs dumped by a freeway ramp. Kind and committed rescuers eventually captured all ten dogs. They were all vetted and placed in temporary accommodations. The rescuers were overwhelmed and asked us for help. Although the dogs do not appear to be the type of dogs we usually support, we could not turn them away. Clancy is one of three dogs we agreed to support.Despite an uncertain past, Clancy is incredibly resilient and has not let anything dull her spark! She is dog savvy and now seeks out attention from people. She enjoys walks and playing with toys, toys, toys!Clancy is looking for a patient and loving family (or person!) who will show her that the world is a safe and wonderful place. She would thrive in a home that can offer plenty of playtime, someone able to take her for long walks two times a day. Even another doggy sibling could be good for her! In return, Clancy promises endless loyalty, tail wags, and a lifetime of gratitude.

Phoenix is one of the lucky survivors of the Whittier, CA dog dumping who came into the care of LeoRescuePals. Phoenix is a young girl with a wonderful temperament and so much love to give. Phoenix is housebroken, crate trained, and on flea/tick prevention. She has been seen by a veterinarian and deemed healthy. She is estimated to be 1.5 years old. After spending time as a stray, she is working on slowly gaining a little bit of weight and getting comfortable with the good life. Phoenix is friendly, playful, sweet, and outgoing once she gets to know you. She can be a bit shy when she first meets someone and then warms up quickly—-and when she does, she really bonds. This is a girl who wants to be connected to her people. Because she has spent her entire life around other dogs, she is very comfortable with canine companionship and would likely enjoy having a calm, confident doggy friend in her forever home. We're looking for the right home for a 14-week-old male Bernese Mountain Dog crossed with an Australian Shepherd. He's expected to reach roughly 65–85 lbs as an adult. He's currently about 30lb.He is a gorgeous, classically marked tri-color boy — black, rust and white — and he's turned out to be a genuinely easy puppy. He's a people pleaser and picks things up quickly. He knows the basic commands but can sometimes decide not to follow them. Sleeps through the night in a crate beside the bed with appropriate potty breaks, and he's happy and settled in the car.His quirks are the best part of him. He barks at our reflections in mirrors and TVs and happily licks his own reflection. He does joyful morning zoomies. And on walks he spends most of his time looking up at whoever is holding the leash rather than at the world. We are rehoming him because we are relocating to a metro city into a small apartment which may not be ideal for him and us.
