Story
Bonded pair Gus & Maggie come to after Maggie tore her CCL and their previous owner was unable to provide the level of care that she needed. Maggie is almost completely recovered from her TPLO surgery and these two are ready for their happy ever after! Gus can be protective of Maggie, so we recommend a home with no other dogs in it, but they get along just fine with their foster kitty brother! A home with few stairs and a fenced yard would be best for these two. Favorite activities include sunbathing, snowbathing, napping, watching squirrels, and getting belly rubs - in other words, the good life! Adoption application: https://cosaintrescue.org/adopt/

Story
Hi there!  Mortimer here! The nice rescue people have asked me to tell you about myself, so here goes .... I am a world class squirrel defense expert. I have been told that i shouldn't lead wth that, but I think it's the most important, so there we go. I am also an expert at eating snacks :) aaaaaaand now they say they are taking over writing this .... Morti is around 5 years old and survived prostate cancer in 2021! The required surgery has made him a bit sensitive about his rear end when it comes to other dogs sniffing it, so he can be a bit dog selective. He does better with female dogs that respect his boundaries. He was not kidding about the squirrel defense expert bit - he has an ongoing feud with the neighborhood squirrels at his foster house. Morti can't live with cats (or any small animals really) as his prey drive is just too high. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a family that can continue his structured daily walks. If you have a garden, he will "help" you in it. His foster mom solved this by giving him his own garden bed to till. Morti is house and crate trained, and does fine in the crate while his foster family is away from the house.

Story
Look! Up in the sky! it's ..... it's Meteor! This sweet 2 year old Saint mix has blasted into Colorado and is ready his happy ever after! Meteror gets along famously with his foster dog brother and family. He loves snuggles, car rides and being with people. Being a true ladies' man, he warms up quicker to women than to men, but that doesn't mean he does like men, it just takes him a minute to decide that you are going to be best friends forever. He does have a bit of anxiety around being left alone - his foster family has opted to give him free roam while they are gone as he bent the kennel and shredded his bed on the first day. He has not caused any havoc while alone, but has had a few accidents - he would do best in a home where someone can spend a lot of time with him. The good news is he has done very well at dog friendly patios and such, meaning he can go lots of places with you! Adoption application is at www.gotdrool.org

Story
Say hello to Maple, a big-hearted Saint Bernard with a love for people and a personality as sweet as her name. This gentle giant is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention—she prefers to be your one and only pet. Maple is all about the simple pleasures in life: lazy strolls around the neighborhood, long naps in sunny spots, and belly rubs that make her eyes roll back in bliss. She’s a pro at lounging and would happily spend the day by your side—or sneakily helping herself to any unattended snacks when you're not looking (she’s got some serious stealth skills!). Story
When the first snowflake falls, Babs transforms into a frolicking snowball! Her joy in the snow is contagious and she loves it when her people join her in playing. She thrives on attention and will nudge your hand and give you "the look" until you shower her with the attention she deserves - she is a bit jealous with other dogs when it comes to attention, so an only dog home or a submissive friend would be best for her. Babs favorite place in the world is right with you.  Whether its the couch for a Netflix marathon, or a walk in the park, she is up for anything as long as it's with you! Babs knows her obedience cues and is eager to learn more! She would do best with kids over 8. Visit our website to fill out the adoption form: https://cosaintrescue.org/adopt/

Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy! Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Litter of 3 surrendered by a local CO family. The family could no longer care for the puppies and planned to bring them to a shelter, but a local community member familiar with CPR reached out and asked for help to keep them out of the shelter. *This puppy was placed on a medical hold for the 8/22 adoption event due to a heart murmur identified at spay. Grade 2-3, a test was send out to identify cause and next steps. Depending on results, this puppy may be available 8/29, but the timeline may be longer.* From the foster: My bio is coming soon! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
