Story
Bonded pair Gus & Maggie come to after Maggie tore her CCL and their previous owner was unable to provide the level of care that she needed. Maggie is almost completely recovered from her TPLO surgery and these two are ready for their happy ever after! Gus can be protective of Maggie, so we recommend a home with no other dogs in it, but they get along just fine with their foster kitty brother! A home with few stairs and a fenced yard would be best for these two. Favorite activities include sunbathing, snowbathing, napping, watching squirrels, and getting belly rubs - in other words, the good life! Adoption application: https://cosaintrescue.org/adopt/

Story
Say HELLO to Holly! This sweet girl comes to us after her previous owners could no longer care for her due to their own health concerns. Holly is house and crate trained, which is amazing, because up to this point, she spent most of her time outside by herself. As a result, she is a bit worried when she's outside by herself and will bark and scratch at the doors and fence to make sure that you don't forget about her. It can also take a few minutes to warm up to new people, she will sit by the legs of the person she knows until she decides that new guys is OK. But once she does? Get ready for hugs and kisses and the famous Saint Bernard lean! Other dogs? Holly is selective with her friends and takes some time to warm up ( think a couple of days, not minutes) But hey, how many people you meet on the street do you want to be instant friends with? Cats are unknown, and we recommend kids over 8 Are you the right family to help Holly become the very best version of herself?

Story
Hi there!  Mortimer here! The nice rescue people have asked me to tell you about myself, so here goes .... I am a world class squirrel defense expert. I have been told that i shouldn't lead wth that, but I think it's the most important, so there we go. I am also an expert at eating snacks :) aaaaaaand now they say they are taking over writing this .... Morti is around 5 years old and survived prostate cancer in 2021! The required surgery has made him a bit sensitive about his rear end when it comes to other dogs sniffing it, so he can be a bit dog selective. He does better with female dogs that respect his boundaries. He was not kidding about the squirrel defense expert bit - he has an ongoing feud with the neighborhood squirrels at his foster house. Morti can't live with cats (or any small animals really) as his prey drive is just too high. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a family that can continue his structured daily walks. If you have a garden, he will "help" you in it. His foster mom solved this by giving him his own garden bed to till. Morti is house and crate trained, and does fine in the crate while his foster family is away from the house.

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: adopted as a puppy, returned for food/resource guarding as a concern with small children in the home. Loves to play with other dogs; shouldn't be fed with other dogs in the home. Appears under-weight but is eating six cups of food per day. From the foster: Meet Finn – The Gentle Giant with the Giant Heart! 🤍🐾 If you've been dreaming of a big, fluffy best friend who will make you laugh every day and happily snuggle beside you every evening, meet Finn! Finn is a 2½-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 90 pounds. He has the gorgeous fluffy coat you'd expect from a Pyr mix—which also means he sheds. (A good vacuum is a worthwhile investment!) Finn is the definition of a lovable goofball. He proudly carries his favorite stuffed toy around the house—and even takes it outside with him. He loves to cuddle on the couch, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is happiest just hanging out with his people. Everything about Finn is BIG...his paws, his personality, his appetite, his water bowl, his poop piles, and most importantly, his heart. Finn is incredibly people-oriented and eager to please. He's smart, food motivated, and learns quickly, making him a wonderful dog to train. He's crate trained and walks beautifully on leash. On walks, Finn is happy to ignore people and dogs that ignore him, making outings enjoyable and relaxed. Finn's Ideal Home 🏡 A home with a fenced yard and room to stretch his long legs. While he enjoys relaxing inside, he also appreciates having space to explore and move around. A home with acreage or a large yard would be a wonderful bonus. ❤️ A family looking for a loyal companion and willing to continue his training. 🐓 No cats, chickens, rabbits, or other small animals. Finn has a strong prey drive and needs a home without small pets. 👧 Finn previously lived with children and has always been gentle with them. However, he quickly learned that little hands often deliver tasty snacks! Because of his size and enthusiasm for food, interactions with young children should always be supervised, especially during mealtime and snack time. A Few More Things About Finn 🐾 Great Pyrenees mix with a beautiful fluffy coat. 🐾 Loves stuffed animals. 🐾 Big couch cuddler. 🐾 Enjoys playing fetch. 🐾 Crate trained. 🐾 Walks nicely on leash. 🐾 Smart, eager to please, and highly trainable. 🐾 Gets carsick on longer trips or mountain drives. 🐾 Likes to "chat" with dogs that bark at him through the fence. 🐾 Does best on a chicken-free diet, as he has a sensitivity to chicken. Finn is looking for someone who appreciates giant-breed dogs, doesn't mind a little extra dog hair, and wants a goofy best friend who will make every day brighter. He has so much love to give and deserves a family that will embrace his big personality and continue helping him be the amazing dog we know he is. If you've been looking for a giant teddy bear with a goofy grin, a favorite stuffed toy, and endless love to give, Finn is waiting to meet you. 🤍🐾 www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
