This guy is about as perfect a puppy as you could get! He is house-trained, leash-trained, loves kids, loves other dogs and is a big, super sweet goofball. Kongs with peanut butter are the best in Hector’s world, followed by a cuddle. He is about 8 months old and around 70 pounds. He is not your typical puppy as he is not destructive, is very well behaved and loves to snuggle.  We don’t know his breed mix. What is your guess? He has the face and neck of a St Bernard mixed with a whole bunch of cute.  Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is currently being fostered in Highlands Ranch. This fella will reward you with all his heart! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply. June 3, 2026, 10:42 am

Story
Wizard is a 1½-year-old Saint Bernard with a big body, big energy, and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for a patient adopter who can help him learn the skills he missed early in life. Wizard is crate trained and house trained, but he’s still working on leash manners and impulse control. He can be mouthy when excited, though this is playful behavior — not aggression. With consistency, structure, and positive training, Wizard has tremendous potential to grow into a wonderful companion. He enjoys other dogs and generally does well with them, especially female dogs who can match his playful style. Because of his size and enthusiasm, Wizard would do best in a home with teens 16+ and adults who can safely manage a large, energetic dog. Wizard is searching for a home willing to invest time, patience, and training into helping him become the best version of himself. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate giant who truly wants to connect with his people. If you’re ready to guide a young dog who just needs direction, Wizard may be your perfect match!

Story
Bonded pair Gus & Maggie come to after Maggie tore her CCL and their previous owner was unable to provide the level of care that she needed. Maggie is almost completely recovered from her TPLO surgery and these two are ready for their happy ever after! Gus can be protective of Maggie, so we recommend a home with no other dogs in it, but they get along just fine with their foster kitty brother! A home with few stairs and a fenced yard would be best for these two. Favorite activities include sunbathing, snowbathing, napping, watching squirrels, and getting belly rubs - in other words, the good life! Story
Babs is an absolute sweetheart at 18 months young. She came in after her owner decided her energy no longer matched his own. She is a pretty active girl that needs someone to continue to work on training with her. Her current foster mama says she is very sweet little tornado 🌪 💜. She weighs in around 110 lbs and still needs to be spayed and have her gastropexy before she is ready to be adopted out. However, she is available to meet. She does have some resource guarding we are working through when it comes to food, and she is still learning how to be polite on a leash.

Story
Hi there!  Mortimer here, checking in after arriving in Colorado! Im between 1 and 2 years old (no one ever told me my real birthday so the nice doctor at the vet's office took a guess) and the rescue people asked me to tell you a little bit about myself. I love tug of war!  I figured i would start with that since its really important that my new home like to play that with me.  I also like to play with other dogs, but can get a little scared if they are super loud and in my face at first.  I am "crate-trained" whatever that means, and enjoy these things called "leash walks" where i get to go out and smell and see new things.  My foster parents say that i have decent leash "manners". I've seen a cat a few times, and wasn't overly interested in it, but i have never lived with one, so I don't know how i would feel about that. I ended up in Colorado after someone dumped me in a very rural part of new Mexico.  A nice lady there found me and gave me food and water and shelter which was very nice, but she couldn't keep me so she found some nice people in Colorado to help me find a new forever home!  If i sound like the kind of dog you would like to hang out with fill out the application below and be sure to mention my name!
