Dog’s Name: Bruno Location: Belleville, Il. Age or Date of Birth: 2 yrs Gender: Male Breed: St. Bernard Color: Brown & White Dog's Weight: 150 (approx) Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  All Cats  Kids?: All kids, Older kids, needs slow introduction Training: Leash trained: Walks on loose leash Crate/Kennel: Goes in on his own, but is anxious if the door is closed. Potty trained: We're working on it. Car: Still assessing Meet Bruno – The Giant Sweetheart! Bruno is a big boy with an even bigger heart! This gentle giant is sweet, submissive, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s even been respectful around cats — just a curious sniff and then he's on his way. Bruno is still adjusting to life outside of the pack he came from, which has been a bit of a challenge for him emotionally. He’s showing improvement every day and is slowly gaining confidence and comfort in his new routine. He’ll go into a crate on his own to nap or sleep, but still gets anxious if the door is closed, so his foster family keeps it open to help him feel secure. Bruno is currently working on potty training and basic house manners, and while he’s making progress each day, he’ll do best in a home with someone experienced in handling giant breeds. Due to his size and strength, he needs guidance and structure — and possibly a confident dog companion to help show him the ropes. Bruno's ideal adopter is one who is experienced with large or giant breeds, patient and consistent with training, and one who is always or quite often home as he thrives on companionship..  A fur sibling would be great to provide the additional companionship he craves. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. Dog’s Name: Betty Location: West Terre Haute, IN Age or Date of Birth: 05/18/2020 Gender: Female Breed: St. Bernard Color: Tricolor Weight: 132 lbs Betty is a 5-year-old sweetheart who’s as cuddly as they come! She’s an affectionate, laid-back girl who absolutely adores belly rubs and snuggles. Despite her size, she’s gentle and well-mannered—and she’s always ready to learn something new. Don’t let her age fool you—Betty still has playful bursts of energy, but she’s just as happy to curl up for a cozy nap after some fun. She’s crate trained and goes to her kennel on command like a pro. She’s also doing great on leash walks! While she can get a little excited and pull at times, she redirects easily and listens well—especially when asked to “sit pretty” for her leash on and off. She’s had no accidents in the house and is used to going potty while on leash. Betty does wonderfully with other dogs and loves kids! We’re not sure about cats yet, but she’s shown an easygoing temperament in most situations. She enjoys being outdoors, loves car rides, and just wants to be where the people are. (Don’t even think about going into the store without her—she’ll wait, but she won’t be happy about it! ) She even makes cleaning up her drool a game—what more could you ask for? Ideal Home:Betty is as adaptable as they come. Whether you're a first-time giant breed owner or a seasoned pro, she’ll fit right in. She’s content to lounge in her crate while her people are at work but will always be ready for love and attention when you’re home. She doesn't require a fenced yard and would thrive in almost any home that offers affection and stability. Bonus points if you're willing to sing her a special version of "Black Betty" with custom lyrics just for her—she swears it makes her tail wag harder! If you're looking for a calm, loving, drool-tolerant best friend, Betty might just be your perfect match. Hi, I’m Magnolia and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Magnolia Location: Ft. Atkinson, WI Age or Date of Birth: 02/16/2023 Gender: Female Breed: St. Bernard Color: Tricolor Dog's Weight: 127.8 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: Unknown Training: Leash trained: Working on it Crate/Kennel: Working on it Potty trained: Working on it Car: Working on it Meet Maggy — A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start! Magnolia, aka Maggy is a beautiful pup with a heart full of potential! She’s just starting to settle into her foster home and let her sweet personality shine. A social girl at heart, Maggy thrives around other dogs and would love a home where she’s not alone for long periods — canine companionship is her happy place! Coming from a breeder background, Maggy is learning the ropes of home life. While basic commands are still a work in progress, she already knows her name and responds to “no.” She’s eager to learn with a patient and loving family by her side. Maggy is not a fan of kennels and can be quite the escape artist! But when given the freedom to roam with her foster brother, she’s calm and content. She’s doing well with potty training, with occasional accidents if she doesn't go before her foster mom leaves for work. Consistency and encouragement will help her continue to succeed. While she’s still a bit timid around strangers, Maggy is already making progress and becoming more confident every day. She adores spending time with her foster mom and has a quirky love for water — especially dunking her whole face into the bowl to “test the water quality” for everyone. What a thoughtful girl! Maggy also has a funny little habit of carrying towels, blankets, and even clothes around the house. She doesn’t usually chew or shred them (though one slobber towel met its end ). Her favorite treat? A good ol’ no-hide bone! Maggy's perfect adopter would be someone who has another friendly dog for her to play and bond with. She’d be an ideal match for a first-time adopter — she's young, eager to learn, and incredibly affectionate. While she doesn't require a fenced yard, she will need close supervision outdoors as she's still got that playful puppy mindset and is learning her boundaries. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online application with the $25 application donation. All approved applications are good for 12 months.
