She loves people and dogs. She is a bit shy and timid at first. She loves to hang out with her human. At her foster house she helps garden by keeping the yard clear of squirrels, groundhogs, bunnies and deer.  When she is not working outside she loves sleeping on you. She does make a good weighted blanket while watching TV and winding down at the end of the day.  She is getting used to walks, meeting new people and exploring smells. She loves playing  fetch  and chewing sticks. She does not like the crate. She is easy to train and is food motivated.  Like : Mia loves to lie down next to you and cuddle . She does like chew toys, sticks and tennis balls. She  is happy to just lie around inside the house or outside in the yard. She  does gets her zoomies and enjoys running around with her foster brother. She is very silly and not a dull moment with her around. If you like taking your dog everywhere you go, she is the one.  Dislikes :  She doesn't like the crate. She will go in if you ask her but will get out easy, a master at breaking out of the crate.  Personality: Mia  is super friendly. She enjoys the company of people and dogs. She is goofy and loves belly rubs and will lie down in the middle of the road for belly rubs . She loves to walk and explore the world with her family. She does not run away and stays close to her family. She is super easy to love. She is curious about cats and is a bit scared of them. She behaves like a playful puppy.  She is always 2 steps behind you or in your way.  Temperament: She is calm when inside the house and playful and goofy outside. Will wait patiently for food or toy or pets. No jumping or barking for attention.  Energy level: She is medium energy. Will walk a mile and will chase a ball or stick. Will lie around most of the time. Favorite activities : She loves to run around and play with her foster brother. She does like to chew on toys. She likes her walks. She loves chasing squirrels and bunnies. Loves socializing. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6) ? : She  is good with kids and dogs. She is shy and scared of cats (cats can be mean).  Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and or invisible fence)?: a fenced yard would be nice for Mia but not necessary. She likes to lie outside for long periods of time and likes to smell the  garden and everything in it.  Walks well on a leash?: yes. If she sees a dog on her walk he will try to walk up to say hi, she is learning that not everyone likes to say hi. She is learning not to pull on the leash.  Challenges: she hates the crate and will whine till she is let out. She hates to be confined. Any medical issues?: None that we know of. What would be the best kind of home?: Mia is a friendly, loving  dog. She would be happy with a family that has another dog, can take her on walks and give her lots of pets. She would benefit from having someone at home. She does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. Someone who can work on her leash skills and take her out where ever they go.    Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs.
