Story
Freddy has a very interesting story! He was a local stray that was running for weeks. Many people tried to catch him but he was very scared. Eventually Freddy was secured and brought to a local Humane Society. He was extremely underweight and had very sore paws from running for so long. He was never claimed which means he was most likely dumped to fend for himself. Freddy was transferred to us because he needed further evaluation and training. In a short period of time, we have seen Freddy evolve. He is learning to walk on a leash. He is very smart and knows sit and paw already! Freddy is extremely food motivated. He is strong and working on his leash manners. Freddy has extreme fear with strangers, especially tall men. He is looking for a teen or older family that will work on building his confidence. Freddy requires slow introductions to new people, therefore he would do best in a house with not too many visitors. Freddy is being evaluated with dogs and seems to do well with female dogs and also some male dogs that are calm and social.

This sweet girl is the definition of a cuddle bug—she loves nothing more than snuggling up after a good play session. With her big floppy ears and playful personality, she’s guaranteed to make you smile (especially when she gets the zoomies and forgets how to hit the brakes ). She’s great with other dogs and cats and has done wonderfully around teenagers. While she may be a little cautious at first with new people, she warms up quickly and becomes your loyal shadow in no time. She’s still learning the ropes—working on her training, leash manners, and house training—but she’s smart and very food-motivated, which makes her a great student! She enjoys chew toys, is discovering the joy of fetch, and absolutely loves being outside… especially if there’s a chance to splash in the water. This medium-energy pup would thrive in an active home with a yard where she can stretch her legs, explore, and continue building her confidence. The rescue will cover the 2 surgeries at our prearranged vet clinic with the first at 1 year old and the second leg approximately 8 weeks later. His adoptor must agree to bring him to these surgical appointments as well as any others deemed necessary by us or by his vet in relation to this preexisting condition.
