Story
Freddy has a very interesting story! He was a local stray that was running for weeks. Many people tried to catch him but he was very scared. Eventually Freddy was secured and brought to a local Humane Society. He was extremely underweight and had very sore paws from running for so long. He was never claimed which means he was most likely dumped to fend for himself. Freddy was transferred to us because he needed further evaluation and training. In a short period of time, we have seen Freddy evolve. He is learning to walk on a leash. He is very smart and knows sit and paw already! Freddy is extremely food motivated. He is strong and working on his leash manners. Freddy has extreme fear with strangers, especially tall men. He is looking for a teen or older family that will work on building his confidence. Freddy requires slow introductions to new people, therefore he would do best in a house with not too many visitors. Freddy is being evaluated with dogs and seems to do well with female dogs and also some male dogs that are calm and social.

Story
Meet Karma who 9 Years Young Being fostered in the Grafton, ON area Karma is a gentle, low-energy boy who truly lives up to his name. At 9 years old, he is the definition of a perfect houseguest. He is calm, respectful, and easy to have around. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including small ones, and handled meeting a new male visitor (even one with a beard!) like a pro. Karma is aware of cats and may bark at them, but he has not shown any interest in chasing. This sweet soul loves being close to his people and is happiest just hanging out by your side. He walks politely on leash and settles beautifully in the home. At night, he sleeps peacefully in a dog bed beside you, and when left alone for short periods, he simply naps with no messes, no destruction. After spending about a year in a shelter environment, Karma may have lost some muscle tone, but with a loving home and gentle exercise, he’s sure to regain his strength and continue to thrive. Karma is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally relax and enjoy the life he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing companion, Karma might just be your perfect match. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Kkunyang Age: 8 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Retriever Saint Bernard Mix Color: Brown, White Weight: 26kg / 57lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm and given a second chance at life just in time. Thanks to the kindness of my rescuers, those difficult days are now behind me, and I can finally look forward to a brighter future. Now I'm safe, receiving the love and care I've always deserved, and patiently waiting for a forever family to call my own. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life filled with love, happiness, and new adventures.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I'm a gentle giant who loves both people and my dog friends! Despite my difficult past, I've never lost my trust in people. The staff and volunteers are always complimenting how incredibly sweet, patient, and gentle I am. I have a calm, loving nature and enjoy receiving affection from everyone I meet. Even during my visit to the veterinary hospital for my spay surgery, I happily accepted pets and attention from the hospital staff, winning over everyone with my kind personality. Because of my gentle temperament, I would likely do well in many different types of homes with proper introductions and a little time to adjust. If you're looking for a big dog with an even bigger heart, I'm ready to fill your home with love, loyalty, and endless cuddles.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love people and am friendly with everyone I meet! During my profile photoshoot, I happily lay on my side, soaking up the fresh air while enjoying pets and affection from everyone around me. Despite my large size, I'm incredibly gentle, happily allow myself to be picked up, and love rolling over to show my belly—even to new friends! My affectionate, easygoing personality makes it hard not to fall in love with me. · With Dogs: I love meeting new dog friends and enjoy saying hello and playing together! I'm a gentle girl with a calm, easygoing nature and am known for being a true peacemaker. Even if another dog is being pushy or rude, I'd much rather quietly walk away than get involved. My friendly personality helps me get along well with other dogs and makes me a wonderful canine companion. · With Cats: During walks, I may pause to look at cats with curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and continue on my way. A cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match. With my gentle and easygoing personality, I may do well in a home with a dog-savvy cat given proper introductions, but a cat test is recommended to better assess compatibility.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate to higher energy level and love spending time outdoors exploring, sniffing, and having fun! Whether it's going for long walks, playing, or going on adventures with my family, I'm always happy to be by your side. Once I've had enough exercise and excitement, I'm more than happy to come inside, relax, and settle down for a cozy nap. I have a wonderful balance of being active outdoors while enjoying quiet time at home.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler's lead nicely. I'm generally a quiet pup and rarely bark. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and can potty both indoors using a pee pad and outdoors. With a consistent walking routine, I'll happily transition to outdoor potty only. Despite my young age, I'm already incredibly well mannered and have a calm, gentle nature. I have a wonderful foundation and will continue to thrive with love, consistency, and positive guidance.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I'm a gentle giant with a heart full of love. Despite everything I've been through, I've remained incredibly trusting, affectionate, and kind to both people and other dogs. The staff and volunteers often say I have one of the sweetest temperaments and are always impressed by how calm and well mannered I am, especially for such a young dog. I have a beautiful smile that lights up the room and a peaceful personality that makes everyone feel at ease. Whether I'm enjoying a walk, meeting new friends, or simply relaxing beside my people, I'm happiest just being part of the family. I'm still young and have so much potential ahead of me. With continued love, guidance, and a stable home, I'm sure to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, and affectionate best friend, I can't wait to meet you.   KKUNYANG'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2780438##
