Story
MICKEY3 Ideal Home Hot diggity dog! Do you have a yard where Mickey can zoom? This active dood would love to accompany you on daily walks and social events. He has to stay away from chicken and eggs–no matter which came first. He’s gentle with children and would love to have his own kids to dote on. He takes a little time to warm up to men–once he decides that you are trustworthy, he’s a loyal bro. He’s just looking for some love and affection. He is totally trustworthy to wait for your return uncrated. Personality Mickey is one of a kind. He is very sweet and gentle but also he can be playful and very protective. He loves people, especially kids and ladies! He is very chill most of the time except when it’s time to play with his favorite dinosaur toys and ball; then he becomes a pup all over again! Mickey is the gentlest of giants. He is sweet, calm, and affectionate. This smarty-doodle is well-trained and responsive. He’s a willing student. Do You Want to See Mickey Real Soon? Mickey’s adoption fee is $550.  He is HW-negative and current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Mickey3 a second chance. Story
If you’re not won over by Quincy‘s stunning good looks then you will be by his happy easy-going personality! Quincy is a one-year-old 58 pound border collie/St. Bernard mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/22 as a stray. He’s a soft happy fluffy boy with brindle coloring, big freckles on his nose and soulful eyes. With all this fluff he will need frequent grooming. He’s tail wagging happy, calm and gentle and yet has a zip in a step. He is very curious indicating that he’s probably really smart. He’s also well behaved. He came when I called him, and he didn’t try to jump on me. At one point, I stood by the wall and he came and stood up beside me. He’s got a loving nature. He walked right beside me on a leash without pulling. He did his business when he got into the yard. He’s the total package! Can’t you just imagine how great it will be to snuggle with him on the couch?

Story
We received great news yesterday regarding Big Daddy Hoss’ bloodwork. While he was treated for double ear infections with Claro on Friday, we were thrilled to learn that he is heartworm negative, and all of his other tests showed that this 147 lb boy is healthy! Hoss is a 5 year old St. Bernard who is ready to find his forever family. He has settled in beautifully in his foster home, has done well with the other dogs in the home, and seems completely unfazed by the resident cat. Here are some things to consider when adding a St Bernard to your family: They need moderate exercise. They don’t require intense activity but do enjoy daily walks and time with their family. Overexercising, especially in hot weather, should be avoided. They don’t tolerate heat well. Saint Bernards are built for cold weather and can overheat quickly. They need air conditioning, plenty of water, and limited outdoor activity during Texas summers. Expect drool and shedding. A lot of both! Keeping towels around for drool and staying on top of brushing will make life easier. Hoss has bibs that he wears to help with his drooling. Grooming is necessary. Regular brushing helps manage shedding and prevents mats. Health care can be expensive. Giant breeds are prone to issues like: Hip and elbow dysplasia, Arthritis, Bloat (gastric torsion), Heart conditions, Eye issues If you’re interested in meeting this gentle giant and making him part of your family, please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2763139##

Story
My husband and I have come to the difficult realization that we just aren't able to give him the time, attention, and care that he truly deserves. We are both very busy with work, and it has become overwhelming trying to meet all of his needs while balancing everything else. He is such a loving boy who absolutely loves attention, affection, and being around people. He deserves a family that can give him the time, love, and companionship he needs every single day, and right now we know we can't provide that for him. As heartbreaking as this decision is, we truly believe that surrendering him for adoption is the best choice for his well-being. Our biggest hope is that he finds a loving home where he can thrive and receive all the attention and care he deserves.

Sandi is a big love bug. She was abandoned on property that were renting. We have been raising her and keeping her on this property, but they’re selling the land so we have to move and where we’re moving. Doesn’t allow dogs. She has always been an outdoor dog. Hoping she can be adopted to someone that has property roam. She’s always been around her sister, cats, horses, and chickens.
