Heartworms are treatable, and with the right care (which our team is happy to talk to you about low cost treatment options in our area), I can go on to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Many wonderful dogs like me test positive for heartworms through no fault of our own and we just need a little extra TLC and some time to heal. The most important thing I need right now is a loving home where I can rest, recover, and feel safe. Please don’t let the word heartworm make you pass me by, I have so much love to give, and I promise I’ll make every bit of the journey worth it. If you’re looking for an amazing dog who’s ready for a fresh start, I’m your new best friend. Available for adoption at Arlington Animal Services Shelter Address: 1000 SE Green Oaks Blvd. Arlington, TX 76018 Shelter Hours: Tuesday- Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. At Arlington Animal Services, every dog is individually evaluated by multiple members of our experienced team. When a dog is placed into our adoption program, it means they have shown friendly behavior toward people and other dogs, and no negative behaviors have been observed in our shelter environment. If you already have a dog at home, we encourage you to bring them to the shelter for an official meet-and-greet to help ensure a smooth and happy introduction.

Meet Ramsey! Say hello to Ramsey! When we first met Ramsey, he was very cautious around people. However, with some fun training sessions, he has really started to come out of his shell and show us the goofy guy he is. Ramsey is a sensitive guy who responds well to clear guidance and patience. He loves playing with toys and enjoys a good game of fetch… even though he’s not totally good at it. Sometimes he’s just happy to relax with a chew toy by himself. This guy would do awesome in a home with people that love to go on hikes or even nice strolls around the neighborhood!Ramsey thrives on a consistent schedule or routine. He is not suitable for homes with children and can be selective with certain dogs. Making tremendous progress in his training, the ideal adopter will need to continue his training and provide him with the understanding and care that he needs. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Hanky Panky is one of those Saint Bernards that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. He has the temperament and look that every Saint should have. He is not a young boy, but he is not an old man. He has a beautiful short hair coat. We think he is approximately 5 years old. Hanky Panky loves attention, will walk right by your side, knows how to sit and is great with all dogs. He will make you smile every day. He weighs 135 pounds, and he is heartworm positive. St Cloud’s rescue has already neutered him, and he is on the slow kill method for the heartworms. This will take between 6 months to a year to complete. He is having some intestinal issues that may be due to his medication for the heartworm treatment. He is house trained. He does have a sensitive stomach and we are working to find the food that works best for him the best. He should weigh about 150 pounds when he is healthy and eating properly. He loves toys but he can’t have toys because he has a tendency to eat them. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit our pups please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. The application may be found OUR WEBSITE at www.stcloudsrescue.org. Please click on the application process, complete and then email it. Once the application has been sent please call us to confirm that we have received it. St.Cloud's Rescue maintains the right to deny applications to anyone for any reason we see fit. St. Cloud Rescue is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. St. Clouds Rescue requires new owners to purchase a one year supply of heartworm preventative from us, which is at cost. We require a home visit prior to all placements. All our dogs must be microchipped at a cost of $20.00. There is a $350.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoors. Saint Bernards can not tolerate the Texas heat.

Story
Peaches is a 1–2-year-old spayed female full Saint Bernard.  They have her birthday listed as September 2024. However, we really don’t have 100% confirmation that that is correct.  Miss Peaches should have been named Mahogany. She has the most gorgeous, thickest plush coat that we have ever seen on any Saint Bernard.  Miss Peaches is sweet, kind, loving, gorgeous and a joy to be around.  She is 100% house trained and loves attention.  She knows basic commands; however, more training is always recommended, both for the dog as well as building a bond with the new owners.  She weighs approximately 100 pounds and has received all of her shots.  However, she is heart worm positive.  We have started her on the slow kill method of getting rid of heart worms.  This will take anywhere from 6 months to a year to complete.  This is a much more humane and safe process.  She has received all her vaccinations.  If you are wanting one of the most gorgeous Saint Bernhards that we have ever had, please consider meeting Miss. Peaches. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. Bella is a gorgeous senior, full Saint Bernard that was adopted from us many years ago. She has had a wonderful life until now. Due to a family situation, they have surrendered Bella back to us though no fault of Bella’s! She weights approximately 100 pounds and is housetrained. She is a sweet, kind and gentle pup that is easy to care for. She is also current on all vaccinations. Story
Meet Willie! Willie is a 90-pound goofball with a heart as big as he is! This Lab/Anatolian Shepherd mix has the best of both breeds—protective and loyal like an Anatolian, playful and water-loving like a Lab.Willie adores people and is great with children, though due to his size, we recommend a home with kids age 5 and up. He gets along well with other dogs with slow introductions but can be protective of his food and toys around them. He hasn’t been around cats, but we think he’d be okay with them. This big guy loves the outdoors—hiking, walking, camping, and car rides are all on his list of favorites. He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, and is crate trained. Willie has also worked with a trainer and responds well to commands.True to his Lab side, one of his favorite things is water—he’ll never pass up a chance to splash around! On the Anatolian side, he takes his guarding duties seriously—especially when it comes to keeping coyotes away from his home.Willie’s favorite part of the day? Cuddling with his humans and resting his big head in your lap for some well-earned head rubs. He’s incredibly loyal and loving, and would thrive either as an only dog or with furry siblings. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
